I started by die-cutting two different sizes of hearts out of a larger piece of copy paper. You could use post-it notes too, as long as your paper is not too thick. Be sure to keep the punched out hearts as well, we will use both.

I placed one of the templates onto the card and adhered it with temporary adhesive.

I used stamps from the Funky Flowers and from the Repeat after Me set onto my card. Here you see me using one of the zipper stamps from the Repeat after Me set to stamp inside the heart.

When the heart had dried, I covered it. And then placed the template for the smaller heart partly over that one.

After stamping, uncovering shows a red heart, which appears to be tucked under the large orange one. You continue the rest of the card the exact same way. Just keep in mind that the heart that you’re stamping first, is the one that will show completely. The second one will be partly behind it.

To cover an entire heart with a long and smaller stamp likes those from the Repeat after Me set, I simply stamp in the middle of the heart first and then build my way up and down the heart.

I finished up the card with a sentiment from Programmed Robots.

For the bigger frame I chose to work on some kraft cardstock. The grey robots were stamped with chalk ink, the blue ones with acrylic paint to make them pop. I first drew some guidelines on my paper to be able to allign them, which I erased after I was done.

The smaller frame features all four robots in lime green.

A clean and simple, but fast and easy way to decorate a room.

We love that you can use many stamps that are not directly topic-related and make them work for a specific project. Stamp are so versatile that way!

So, I’m a HUGE fan of mini books and with the stash of mSB stamps, seriously just amazingggg coolness, I decided to create up this mini, “Our Love Soars”.  I wanted to go outside the normal colors of pink for loveeeee and went with a play on different colors with red & blue.

Beware:  Photo heavy….since I’ll show you how I worked the different mSB stamps inside along with all the fun fun details & pages throughout this mini.  I usually work lots of stamps in my minis’.  I LOADED this mini up with a big dose of mSB eye candy!!!

A tidbit about this book….My boyfriend, Gianluca, & I have been together for a little over a year.  He’s Sicilian and lives still in Italy (Turin, Italy).  “Our Love Soars” across the distance of 2 continents, across that big ocean of the Atlantic, 2 different languages, many flights, many long hours on those flights, many miles (or kilometers)…yet it’s all worth it, he’s so worth it. “Our Love Soars” in bringing us together in many parallels.

One of my favoriteeeee mSB sets, Bold Blocks, used here in the phrase,“Who is that?”

Using the mSB, Color Me Sentiments, here in “hello hello”.

Yes, many many miles for love!

But the phrase “crazy stuff” from mSB Bold Blocks was just perfect because he’s like a child with a new toy when getting a new comic book! )

This is quite a common play on words between Gianluca & myself…it’s the norm ))

Soooo…hope you enjoyed my mini & inspiration!!

Now, I (Marsha) also had a song to inspire me. You know: the kind of song that you hear on the radio and then stays with you all day or (in this case) all week? When I was thinking of our theme ‘Baby, Be Mine’, I had the Bob Marley song ‘Is this Love’ stuck in my head. I had to take it as a sign and started to create my project around it!

I created my funky fabric flowers using the myStamp BOX Funky Flowers set to stamp on denim with StazOn inks. I then cut the stamped flowers and leaves out and machine stitched them onto hand-cut pieces of felt. I used cardstock and another piece of felt to create the grass. The flower stems are stamped directly onto the photo mat.

I took the glass from the shadow box frame (Ribba from IKEA) and stamped part of the lyrics on the outside of the glass with myStamp BOX Mini Alpha using StazOn inks. I used the same inks to stamp the swirl from the Funky Flowers set onto the inside of the glass.

The photo I placed in the frame is one of my favorites that I took during a (table top) photography class. It features two figurines that have been in my possession since childhood!

I made the card base from embossed Core’dinations cardstock, one of our preferred product partners. Honestly, I could use this stuff on every project! My scrappy pal and I chat on instant messenger often, so I thought she’d enjoy this silly sentiment from the Whatever set of stamps.

I also made some fun notes to slip into my sons’ lunch boxes. I printed simple sentiments onto white cardstock and then stamped with a variety of images from myStampBOX. I stamped some with colored ink, and for others I stamped in black and colored in the images with markers. After inking the edges of the cards I laminated them for durability.

I had fun mixing and matching images from six different sets of myStampBOX stamps on these cards including Passport to Adventure, He Loves Me, Seal It!, Programmed Robots, Itty Bittys and Wishing You Sunshine.

I also made a few lunch box notes with Halloween images from the Boo! set of stamps. I’m so happy that October is here – I use this set so much! I hope you find fun ways to use your stamps in ways that make you and the special people in your life happy. Enjoy your stamping!

My husband recently travelled to Japan for business and brought home some cool robot toys for my youngest son. Sometimes the little man gets as “wired” as his playmates, making sound effects and noises while he plays. I thought this was a cute play on words and used it for the title of my layout. I stamped and embossed the large robot from Programmed Robots then layered on a dark gray body. I also stamped a border using the tiniest stamps in the set. Finally, I added screw-top brads strung with craft wire and the robot information card printed in Japanese. The wires are anchored at the bottom of the layout by an acrylic arrow from one of our preferred product partners, Clear Scraps.

The following images I created to sneak into the kids lunch kits for school, just so they could read a happy note as they ate. Isn’t that fun? I know I LOVE when my husband sneaks me notes, or when the kids leave me their notes all over the house. Granted, my 21 month old Ireland left me a “note” in purple crayon all over one of our doors and walls. It did make me smile, before I got out the Mr.Clean white eraser.

I grabbed some white paper and begun stamping the cute little robots in different ways. For this one I stamped 3 different times, 3 different colours and not quite on top of each other, a little off so that it looked “raised”.

To emphasizes the cute detailing of the heart on his body, I used Glossy Accents by Ranger to make it pop.

For this little guy I had painted his body with Smooch.

For this little robot, I coloured him with Copic Markers.

I know I had fun making these very simple little cards, but I know the boys sure were excited to share their “notes” at school.

So in honour of all the lovely additions to our mSB family, I thought I would fun to focus on BIRTHDAYS today!

Let’s start with some fun and simple birthday cards; cards for all ages and genders!

I started off with a very simple, masculine card.  Clean lines, darker colours, simple patterns like polka dots and some fun stamps can make a great masculine card!

Happy Birthday

I used one of the cute little circles from the Funky Circles stamps sets and created a quick line of fun stamped circles on my off white paper.  I added a heat embossed “Happy Birthday” greeting from Happy Word Jumble stamp set on some dark brown cardstock and popped it off this simple card background.  A very easy birthday card for that special man in your life!

Programmed

I absolutely love all the little robot creatures from the Programmed Robots stamp set and knew that I had to make a fun birthday card for that special little guy reaching that next year of life.  I bent the greeting from the set around a circle of fun patterned paper and heat embossed the greeting and the little robot using some gorgeous embossing powders by one of our sponsor’s, PK Glitz.  I love how this fun birthday card turned out!

Wish Come True

For my last card, I wanted to create a “girly” kind of card for my stash so I searched through my patterned papers for one that jumped out and I found this fun polka dot paper.  It started me off with a fun colour scheme for this card.  I stamped the subtle green branch from the Floating Leaves stamp set for the window first.  Then I layered on a pretty pink butterfly from the Colourful Companions set and also a fun greeting from my Oval Office stamp set.   I also used some Versamark ink and stamped a frilly edge along the label shape at the bottom using one of the circles from my Funky Circles stamp set.

Now that I had created a few cards, I also wanted to showcase a birthday themed layout so I created this frilly page showcasing lots of fun mSB stamp sets. That’s me and my son just hours after he was born.

Special Delivery

Here are a few close ups of my stamping and design…

I used only one colour of ink for all my stamping on this page.  To create a lighter ink colour, I first stamped my image off on a scrap piece of paper, then I stamped the image on my page.  It’s as simple as that!

And another close up of one of my butterflies with a touch of glitter.

I decided to copy the bold design and colors of this ad and wanted to find a suitable myStampBOX image that would work well with this idea. I chose the largest robot from the Programmed Robots set of stamps. I stamped the robot onto four different squares of cardstock and layered onto my card base. I stamped four more robots using a variety of colors and handcut just the main part of the body. I layered these cut pieces onto my original robots and added some glitter gel pen for accents.

To create the sentiment in the center of the card I stamped THANKS HUMAN from Programmed Robots in black ink. I stamped the sentiment on light blue cardstock and handcut just the words to layer onto the card. The font of this sentiment makes handcutting so easy – just a few snips of the scissors and the words pop right out. I love how fun and whimsical this card is!

Supplies: myStampBOX Programmed Robots, American Crafts cardstock, Bazzill cardstock, Memories Ink, Sakura gel pen

“I wanted to include a little gift in this card for a little boy’s birthday.”

So first, I inked my stamp, Martin in this instance, and placed it firmly on the shrink plastic. Careful that you do not wobble too much as the image will smudge. Cut out your image and punch a hole at the top. This is for us to place the chains through later. Keep in mind that the entire image will shrink to about 1/10 it’s original size. I also personalised the image by including the name of the recipient on it.

Second, place your image in a container, preferably made of paper to prevent the image from flying off your table when you hold your heat gun over the image. Don’t worry should your image curl initially. Ensure that heat is applied to both sides of the image and soon, this is what you’ll get:

See the great difference in size? I love how the image of Martin remains so clear on the plastic, even though it has shrunk considerably. Attach your key ring chain to the plastic image. We now move on to create the card.

I cut out a circle from the cardstock so that the key ring will dangle through it. Using Mavis and Marshall, I stamped them all over the card to create a background. To get a subtle effect, use inks that are close to the base color of your card. Thereafter, I added a die-cut circle round the hole in the card for emphasis.

Next up, we will include a greeting.

I wanted the greeting to continue on to the inside of the card. So inking only part of the entire greeting, I placed my stamping block on the card before shaping the stamp to follow the curve of the circle. That’s the beauty of cling stamps – malleability! Turn the stamp around and stamp on the card.

The remainder of the greeting was inked and stamped inside the card. I also included a hand-written greeting, which is a preference of mine. Martin once again helped me liven up the inside of the card.

Finally, attach your key ring to the card. I used a little tape so that it can be easily removed by the recipient.

With our baby on the way, the Beloved and I have been thinking of different ways to educate our child and one of the plans we have is for me to create educational resources. So, given that we will be doing loads of travelling, one of the things we would like our child to learn is how to greet in different languages. So here’s a mini accordion album to serve that purpose.

Once you release the attached ribbon, the pages will unfold automatically.

I like the size of the Maverick stamp and to symbolise unity across different cultures, Maverick was stamped in different colors, cut and attached to the album with all the Mavericks holding hands. Each Maverick teaches us how to greet in a different language.

As for the reverse side of the album, there are two empty panels which can be used to housed more Mavericks, or if this album is given away as a gift, that’s where a personal message will be written.

My Beloved and I have been living here for eight months now, having relocated from the sunny island of Singapore. I’m happily learning the lifestyle here, creating and waiting for the arrival of our little one. =) I’ve always loved crafting and when I stumbled upon scrapbooking some six years ago, it was a matter of getting my fingers dirty, literally. For me, creating helps me relax, with the added bonus of re-living great times and preserving those moments for the future.

I enjoy intricate cut-out details and working with colors on my creations and I can’t seem to stop journaling on my layouts or including my handwriting on cards! One of the best things about relocating is the need for me to really consider what is essential for the craft and paring down what I have. I love the fact that all my supplies can be found in three drawers and I know exactly what I possess. When not crafting, I enjoy cooking, especially desserts. I guess the creative process never ends!

I received this robot set of stamps to have fun with. Thanks Bettina for this lovely opportunity! In order for me to remember the robots better, I took the liberty to “baptise” them with a name each, after inking them=) So say hi to:

Here are the four projects that were completed with their aid!

To start us off, we have a celebratory card that Martin graces the front of.

I love the smile on his face and the way he tips his hat is as if he were saying, “I take my hat off to you! Well done!” So, this card was inspired by that grin. While in the process of creating, I was wondering if a ribbon should be included. Given that this is more of a masculine card, the Beloved suggested having some form of a “masculine binding”. So the idea of a wire ribbon was birthed, which fitted neatly with the robots, and the whole mechanic idea.

After this card was completed, I was challenged to have a tag that was more feminine, while still using the robots. So, while mulling over Maverick and the huge heart on his chest, I thought that a tag professing one’s love will be ideal.

To feminise the robot, pinks were used as the main color of this creation, and flowers were included. Of course, wires were once again included, though they were shaped as a heart this time round. The heart on Maverick’s chest was given special prominence by layering it, coating it with embossing powder and adding a layer of glossy accent on the top.

I hope these two creations have inspired out to think out of the box and do have fun with the robots when you create your next card!

I have created a fun sketch to hopefully spark some creativity and get the mojo flowing!!!

I was So excited to get to play with some of the NEW RELEASE stamps… and i chose to use the PROGRAMMED ROBOTS set! WAY too cute!!

Here’s what I came up with…

I stamped the robot onto white cardstock and fussy cut him out. Then I colored him in using colored pencils… ( I am not a copics girl yet… but they would do a FAB job here!) I then added him to a painted piece of chipboard using foam tape! He’s just TOO cute!!

I hope this sketch inspired you! i can’t wait to see what you do with it!!
