Since Friday is a Show and Tell day, I thought I’d show you a few projects made with some of the fantastic sentiment stamps available at myStamp BOX.

I know Christmas is over, but if you’re anything like me you still have an abundance of Christmas photos yet to scrapbook. So I took a chance that it was still early enough in January to get away with one more holiday themed project. I promise it will be the last.

I used a “Merry Christmas” sentiment on this page from the Merry Word Jumble set. This set has sentiments perfect for occasions all year long. I also wanted to illustrate that sentiment stamps are not just for cards. They can be used for projects of all kinds.

This next project is a thank you card. It features sentiment stamps from two different sets: You Name It and Lines of Life.

Sets like “You Name It” and “Oval Office” really lend themselves well to being framed and becoming the focal point of a project. You may remember this card I did awhile back.

The next sentiment set that I have on order is called “Mention It”. I can’t wait to try this one. Take a moment and check out all the other sentiment sets available from myStamp BOX. You won’t be disappointed.

Until next time,

Tracey

Good morning everyone! I am so excited to share my first step by step project for myStampBox with you all and hope that you like what I prepared

I adore stamps, well actually I think I am clearly obsessed with them. To me, they are not just a method to transfer the outline of an image – they are THE most versatile tool. Use them to make embellishments, colour them in, leave them plain or use your favourite one to turn a plain sheet of cardstock into a customised background.

When I received the wonderful >>MERRY WORD JUMBLE << set, I knew immediately what I wanted to do…

Are you ready to look over my shoulder while I create a simple, but yet very effective card? Then grab a cuppa and follow me.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time: 5 – 10 Minutes (depending on how quick you are with the sewing…)

Gather your supplies. I have used two pieces of cardstock (please don’t ever expect measurements from me, as I am more of a “fly-by-the-seam-of-your-pants” kinda crafter. I just measure by eye)

In order to cut the background to the correct size, I took four of the stamps and placed them next to each other to mark my cutting lines

Using my word jumble of choice “Congratulation” for this particular card, I flipped the image twice to give a mirror image effect. I may not make myself clear, so here is the picture to explain

And eh voila, there you have your customised background.

At the moment I am totally into using embroidery floss on my cards to create some sort of frame and I thought this would work very well with the word jumble background. The subtle colours ensure that the word will definitely be a focal point

Put the two together and you get a quick, simple but very effective card – suitable for various occasions.

I hope you enjoyed my first step-by-step and that I may have inspired you to use your stamps in a different way.
Happy crafting!

For this project you will need light coloured fabric, ink (I used Staz-On) and your favourite myStamp BOX stamps.

My husband travels often with his work and we sometimes leave little notes for one another to find while he is away. I decided to use that as my theme today and create a few fabric tags to have on hand for the next time he’s on the road.

To create the first tag, I simply used two colours of Staz-On ink and stamps from the She Says - He Says and Merry Word Jumble sets to stamp my message. I sewed the fabric to cardstock and attached the ribbon detail.

The next tag uses the She Says – He Says set again in conjunction with Oval Office. I put the eyelet on the opposite side this time so I can attach it to the back of the previous tag and create a little mini book.

The last page of my little book allows for some handwritten journaling. The stamped lines are from the Just Add Notes set.

Used separately or bound as a mini, this project makes a great little “just because I love you” gift.

While I was playing with fabrics, I couldn’t stop without making one with a butterfly. It has nothing to do with my theme, but I wanted to make it just to have on hand for a future project. I pulled out my Colorful Companions set and created this. I love the look of the burlap paired with the muslin.

So there it is, a quick and easy idea for creating your own custom tags. Just make sure you load plenty of ink on your stamp and apply firm pressure when stamping on fabric.

Until next time,

I know the sun is shining and thinking of Christmas in July may seem just plain wrong. BUT, I LOVE Christmas and I am a planner so taking a few weeks now to work on some holiday projects is right up my alley! I invite you to join me,if even for a few moments.

myStamp BOX has an array of holiday themed stamps. What I also appreciate about the sentiment sets is that you can get sentiments for a variety of occasions that will keep you reaching for the same set all year long. The set I am working with today is one of those sets: Merry Word Jumble.

This first card is a window card. I actually re-used the plastic backing sheets that myStamp BOX stamps come mounted on. It is the perfect weight for window cards. I stamped the sentiment in brown Staz-On ink and sewed it to my card. I framed the sentiment with a chipboard frame from American Crafts.

For this next card, I chose to frame the sentiment with a piece of burlap.

Now if you still aren’t ready to tackle Christmas cards, you can use these same design ideas to create cards for a variety of occasions using this same stamp set.

Happy Holidays! (Sorry, I just couldn’t resist.)
