I am very proud to introduce two of our new designers, Rebecca and Birgit! For the new team I dressed up these little spring flowers and added stamped tags as a greeting. The inks match the flowers and some of the letters are popped up. It looks quite cheerful.

Hi all! I am Rebecca Keppel–former corporate attorney turned SAHM, scrapbooking, cardmaking, gift creating, momographer living with my family in the East Valley suburbs of Phoenix, Arizona. Although I have been “journaling” and taking tons of pictures my whole life, it wasn’t until I saw scrapbooking as whole that everything clicked for me and the obsession began! Besides recording memories and playing with fun product, I love to learn new techniques and learn more about photography. I love stamping on cards, layouts and altered items and I am excited beyond belief to be joining the myStampBOX design team!

Hi! My name is Birgit Koopsen. I live in a small village in the north of the Netherlands. I’m a proud mom of 3 (girl-1994, boy- 1995 and girl 2002) and happily married to Erik for 18 years. They are my biggest inspiration! I started scrapbooking in 2003 and was addicted from day one! I consider scrapbooking a way of living and can’t imagine life without it. I am so thrilled to be a member of this amazing talented myStamp BOX design team and hope to be able to inspire a lot of people with my projects!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!

For the remainder of March, all of our Design Team members have been paired up to create inspirational projects to share with you!  Stay tuned to the blog for LOTS of great inspiration.

Since today is St. Patty’s Day, we thought we would bring you some Irish inspiration.

Melissa has created this fun glass to toast with the finest green beverage of your choice…

She has used the Mini Alphas for her sentiment and the cute flower centered circle is from the Lots of Dots alphabet set.  To ensure that her ink is permanent, she’s used StazOn on the glassware.

I decided to wish Spring an early arrival.  I’ve stamped a St. Patrick’s Day quote all over this plain-jane green plastic watering can to spruce it up.

The quote reads:

St. Patrick’s Day is an enchanted time – a day to begin transforming a winter’s dreams into summer’s magic. ~ Adrienne Cook.

I used a variety of different stamp sets to complete the quote:

On the 9th day of Christmas…

I wanted to make a quick and easy item for my son’s teacher to have on her desk but I wanted to think outside of the box.   So I decided to recover a box of Kleenex and make it fun and colourful for his Kindergarten class to enjoy for the month of December.

I started off by covering each face of the box with some fun patterned paper from Basic Grey.  I then covered the top edges of the box using some soft green coloured ribbon.

On one of the long sides I wanted to create a little snowy scene with Santa and his sleigh…

For each of these images, I stamped the Santa from the Ho Ho Ho stamp set on multiple pieces of patterned paper.  I cut out each piece to his suit out of the red paper and added it to the creamy white paper.  I added some pink Copic to cheeks to “merry” him up a little!  A tough of glitter didn’t hurt either…

The back ground of snow was creating using the mini snowflake stamps from the Tree for all Seasons stamp set.

To create Santa’s sleigh, I used the same paper piecing technique as my Santa and layered my patterned paper pieces until I got my desired image built.  This cute sleigh image is from the Ho Ho Ho set as well!

On the smaller end of the box, I paper pierced a little snowman from our Merry Mr. Snowman stamp set.  His cute little candy cane is also from this set.  I added a little Copic “rouge” to this little fella too!

For the second long side, I wanted to make the side a simple greeting side so I used the “happy” stamp from the Lots of Dots Sentiments set to start and then I stamped the word “holidays” using our Royal Flush alphabet set.  I coloured the insides of the letters with my Copic markers to make them a little more festive!  I also added some cute little trees from our O Christmas Tree! set to build a little landscape of sorts.  The double wavy line image is a fun stamp from the Christmas Garlands set.

For my final small end, I stamped a reindeer fellow from our Ho Ho Ho set for Santa.  I coloured his nose and collar red to add touch of colour.

And finally for the top of the Kleenex box, I wanted to ensure that the kids were still able to pull out the tissues so I kept it simple.

I built a simple die cut layered poinsettia and added some stamped leaves from the Floating Leaves set.

I also added a die cut red snowflake with a little tag and message from the Santa’s Tags stamp set.

Overall I just adore how this came out and I just know the kids in my son’s class are going to enjoy all the whimsical critters each side has to offer!  It may be just a Kleenex box but there’s nothing to say that it can’t be something fun to look at!

So take some holiday inspiration and infuse it in your everyday!  Take something from your desk or counter and alter it to be something festive… even if it’s just a temporary decoration.

One of my favourite things to create is cards with something visually eye catching and different.  You know… something that makes them stand out.  That could be something with sparkle, something with dimension but I love making cards with frames!

So today I’m going to show you a few cards that I’ve made using FRAMES…

Winter Greetings

This fun wintry card is made using a circular frame to highlight the winter scene behind it.  This card is very more special because it’s a frame made into a clear window of snowy beauty.  It’s a a shaker card!!

I created a pocket behind my frame using some acetate from myStampBOX stamp sets to allow you see through the window and hold my mica snow.

The embossed cardstock from is made from this beautiful Whitewash cardstrock from Core’dinations, one of our Partner Companies and I embossed it with a snowflake embossing folder.  That pretty white embossed snowflake with the brad center is from the mini stamp set called Winter Flakes.  I also used some stamps from the Let It Snow set to create that snowy sky in my landscape.  And those awesome trees are from the classy O Christmas Tree stamp set.

Another way to use a frame to use it pop something out of a card… like this baby card!  I used this delicious chipboard star from Magistical Memories, another one of partner companies to pop up my card greeting.

I love the look of raw chipboard but I wanted to add “that little something” to this twinkling frame so I grabbed the little dotted line stamp from my Funky Flowers stamp set.  I took the dotted line stamp and masked it so I stamped a complete line all around my little star.

To brighten up my plain yellow cardstock I used the sun-burst stamp from the Funky Flowers stamp set and a subtle yellow ink.  I also added some mini flowers to my patterned paper too!  My bubbly greeting is from the Lots of Dots – Sentiments set.

Hope you all have had a wonderful summer so far.  My summer have been warm and sunny and happy here in Norway. Seems like we really try to soak up all the sun and the warm days before autumn-rain and winter starts.

Today I want to share one of my favourite techniques with you.   Stamped words to make a background.

This time my stamped words serves as both background AND title.

I’ve used my most fave alphabets and word-stamps by my Stamp BOX for this layout.

“Royal Flush”, “lots of dots sentiments” and “rustic outlines” made the perfect summery feel to my background stamping.

I’ve used a little bit of turqouse glimmermist on the background and stamped my words using “vintage photo” distress ink. (Ranger )

This pretty light Spring card is by Gudrun Loennecken. Gudrun used “Turqouse Glitz embossing powder”, and the “White Orchid Glitter Glitz”. Stamps are used from the “Lots of Dots – Sentiments”, “Itty Bittys” and “Funky Flowers”.

Jolene Johnston made this sweet turquoise Easter Card. She used the flowers from “Tree for all Seasons” for the flower pattern and a sentiment from “Straightforward!” stamp sets. Jolene embossed the sentiment and flowers with “PK Glitz E P Max Merlot” and added spots of “Glitter Glitz in Bronze Patina” to some flowers.

My card is made from easter egg coloured papers. I stamped flowers and leaves from the “Garden Sketches” set with matching inks. Some flowers were stamped with glue ink and covered in “Glitter Glitz” glitter and “Powder Keg – Mirage” embossing powder. Then all flowers and leaves were cut out and arranged as a bouquet. The sentiment was stamped with the “Mini Alpha” stamp set.

I created this “You’re So Sweet” card with my ever faithful Colorful Companions set (I’m wearing these bad boys out!) For the sentiment, I used the awesome new Mention It! set. I adore this set because it has so many mixed greetings in all different fonts. This is a definite MUST HAVE!!!

For the “Happy Birthday” card, I knew I just had to use my new Tall Outlines alpha stamps to stamp out the word “Birthday” so I upped my usual card size to a 5″x7″. The “Happy” is from the Lots of Dots Sentiments set.

Lots of new and exciting things happening at myStampBOX today! We are announcing a winner, but first are celebrating Canada Day with a new stamp set: “Lots of Dots Sentiments”. The great thing about this stamp set is that it coordinates with the “Lots of Dots” and “Lots of Numbers” sets. These sets work great together! You can use a sentiment and customize it with your own words from the alphabet set. I would love to see what you will come up with!

I’ve tried a few very simple cards, for a variety of different occasions: new baby, anniversary and thank you.

Here I used the “baby” sentiment and a cute rattle stamp from the “All year round” set.

This sentiment is made up of the “love” stamp plus letters from the alphabet set and from the numbers set.

Here I used the “thanks” sentiment and tried to colour coordinate it with the thread that I sewed under the composition. “To you” is done with the alphabet set.
