I love the new myStampBOX stamp set Lovely Houses! These little houses are perfect for cards and scrapbook pages, but I thought it would be fun to try one on some fabric first.

I stamped the image on a couple of scrap pieces of fabric. Parts of the images were then cut out and sewn on top of each other with a sewing machine and by hand with some embroidery floss. I finished it off with an eyelet and a piece of string.

On the 8th day of Christmas my true love gave to me………yes I am singing! LOL!

Okay I will get to the crafting in stead. I decided to make some gift tags using some little tags from our product partner Canvas Corp. They are just the right size to put on my Christmas gifts.

I stamped the little stars from Deck the Halls with Versamark and heat embossed, and then my sentiments were stamped using the Ho Ho Ho set.

I think they turned out so cute!!

Welcome to day 4 of our 12 days of Christmas and for my day I’ve chosen to make four tags featuring the adorable Santa Image from the  Hohoho stamp set.  It may be Christmas but I still managed to sneak in my favourite turquise colour using embossing powder on the snowflakes (Let it Snow ).  I used Rusty Hinge Distress ink and Santa Baby spray ink on the background along with the embossed snowflakes.  A touch of red at the top and bottom and dear old Santa coloured with Promarkers.

Welcome to Day 2 in our 12 Days of Christmas here at myStamp Box!

Every year, I try a new recipe to give to my kids’ teachers as part of their Christmas gift – nothing like homemade treats to brighten the holidays!

This year, I found this fun recipe (shared here) for “Reindeer Food” – it’s easy enough to have the kids help out!  It’s also reported to be highly addictive so I’m keeping my distance!

I recycled a product package by decorating it with patterned paper and stamped a tag to match!

To create the tag, I stamped white Super Stock using the Let It Snow stamp set and Versamark ink.  After heat embossing it, using clear embossing powder, I cut it into a tag shape and then sprayed glimmer mists over the embossed images.  I then layered plain white printer paper over the cardstock and using an iron, on low heat, ironed the tag until the embossing is absorbed by the printer paper, leaving the white cardstock below.  (You may want to use two sheets of paper, to protect your iron, if you actually use it for household chores! )

I then stamped the sentiment in a darker blue and embellished the tag.  Quick and easy!

I love tags! And here is what I created with Canvas Corp and myStamp BOX’s products: I try out several different styles that I will recreate for all the gifts that I am going to wrap. For the hop I want to show you two different types.

The first one is done with the round chalkstock tags from Canvas Corp. I stamped snowflakes from the “Let it Snow…” stamp set with a Tsukineko glue pad and then used white embossing powder, heat embossed and added a small white clothes pin from Canvas Corp. The white and black look so fresh together!

The wrapping for this present was made by stamping repeatedly on a white sheet with black Adirondack ink, using the same stamps as for the tags. I wrapped a box of home made cards and added the tag. Just glue the clothespin on the top and attach the tag.

The second set of tags was made with heat embossing as well! I wanted to try out, if embossing works on canvas – and it does! I love the subtle effect on the canvas. The details are not the same as on the tags above, but the snowflake is still very visible.

Both tags were made the same way: firstly stamping the snowflake from “Let it Snow…” with a glue pad onto the canvas tags by Canvas Corp. and heat embossing with white embossing powder. Then I coloured the canvas tag with red and green inks from the distressing ink line by Ranger. The Christmas sentiment was from the “Dotty Christmas” stamp set and stamped repeatedly to make it darker and more visible. Lastly I stamped a sewing pattern from the “Repeat after me” stamp set, cut a coordinating paper for the back and added a small clothes pin from Canvas Corp.

I love wrapping my presents in reusable materials. Here is an example how I would use the tag on a present. The cord is by Canvas Corp. The tag is simply tucked under.

I stamped the skull image from this set using Ranger Archival ink in Jet Black on white cardstock. I glued it to a Tim Holtz glass Fragment using Glossy Accents and added a jewelry bail to the back. I tied the pendant to a black satin cord with a few distressed white beads. My son proudly declared that they reminded him of bones!

At first I wasn’t sure who was going to get the necklace, so I whipped up a quick tag to go with it using the same skull image and letters from Lots of Dots.

My youngest son, Matthew, is our rocker, so this necklace didn’t stand a chance! Once he saw the skull he sheepishly asked if he could have the necklace. Of course this crafty mom agreed! Matthew’s review of this project was, “Way cool, Mom!” I’ll take that any day! Here’s a quick look at two other stamped, beaded Halloween necklaces I made last year.

As you can probably tell, I love stamping to create jewelry. These stamps work so well with the glass fragments that it’s super easy to make your own custom pendants. Give it a try!

I glued the patterned paper back to back so the note is double sided.

On one side I left a blank piece of cardstock so that I could write a personalized note:

A small punched hole for tying some ribbon is the final touch. And here are a bunch of them together:

The album I made to showcase today is made using some simple tags.  I designed these tags using my die cutting machine software and then cut out patterned paper covers.

The Facts About You

For each tag, I used a different kind of patterned paper but all from the same collection by My Mind’s Eye called “Alphabet Soup“.  By using the same line of paper, my mini album appears unified.

Today I want to share with you some fun bookmarks I made for my little girl.

She has to read many books in school and when she is done she has to write a report on every book.

This way she can not only keep track on where in the book she is but she can also make notes while she is reading it of things she thinks are important to remember and mention in her report at the end.

I just cut some strips of the cute Prima Jack & Jill collection papers, punched borders at the bottom and cut them as a tag on the top.  I stamped along the edges with the zigzag stitch of the “Repeat after me”-set. The other stamps all come from the “Just add notes”-set.

Finally I made a hole at the top and slide some ribbon through. Super easy but fun! My daughter loves them!

For this mini album, I started with a raw chipboard album by Maya Road called the “Love Word Album”.  I then adapted it and made it my own and that’s what I’m going to share with you now.  The album pages measure approximately 3×6.

For the mini album I designed a cardstock pocket insert.  The inner panel is the same size as my mini album page; 3×6 and then I added a 1/2 inch on each side (and scored it down the center) and an inch flap at the bottom.

Next I folded up my pocket insert.  The bottom flap gets folded up and the sides get folding in a “V” shape with the bottom of the “V” being folded into towards the center of the pocket.

Then I used some of my sticky Scor-Pal tape to ensure my flaps adhered correctly.  I applied it to each of the top surfaces of the side flaps and a double stripe of it on the bottom flap.

I covered the first 1.5 inches of the end of the album since the pocket doesn’t cover this area with coordinating patterned paper for my mini.  I used the Crate Paper line “Portrait” for my entire mini album.  I then adhered the flap to the chipboard base.

I then peeled off the tape backing and adhered the side flaps… creating a pocket.

For my pocket I began by creating a simple tag.  I used the stitching stamp from the “Repeat After Me” stamp set and then I stamped the word “PHOTO LOG” from my “Snapshot” stamp set.  This became my base tag design.  Then as I completed a page, I created computer generated journaling to go along with my photo.

What’s masking you ask? Well in art, masking is using materials to protect areas from change.  In other words you cover one area to avoid changing it by applying something over top of it.

Today I’m going to show you some fun ways to mask and create some fun patterns.  Let’s begin…

I’ve had this idea floating (no pun intended… LOL!) around in my head for weeks.  I wanted to create a fun fishy shape and stamp all of his scaly details.  So I designed a cute little fishy image in my cutting machine design software and then cut it out in pieces; a fish body, 2 fins, a large eye ball and a tail piece.

Fish have scales… it’s the first thing you think of when you think of fish and I knew the Funky Circles stamp set was PERFECT for stamping scales so I grabbed that set and some bright orange ink to start.

In order to create that scaly look, I needed some simple masks.  So I stamped a few of the circles that I was going to use as scales onto the sticky part of a Post-It Note and cut them out.

Then I created another fast mask to cover the head of the fish so I didn’t ink it up.  I again, used a simple Post-It Note paper and cut a curve into into it to mimic the curve of the fish’s body.

Then I inked up my little circle stamp and began carefully stamping along the edge of the mask.  I wanted to ensure that the outer ring of the circles touched each other.

Then I took my mini circle masks and carefully placed them over top of my already stamped circles.  I took my inked up circle stamp again and carefully positioned them in between each pair of touching circles to create the scale detail.

I continued on until the end of my fishy was all scaly!   A super duper easy way to mask!

I also wanted another scalloped circle detail at the bottom of my focal panel on my card.  So I marked on my card front where the bottom edge of the panel was going to go using a light pencil line.  I then found the center of the focal panel and marked it on the line. I placed a Post-It Note at either end of the line to mark off the edge of the panel going up.

I then drew a light pencil line below that line to ensure I didn’t stamp any farther down on the card front.  Then stamped my first circle using the pencil marks as my guidelines.  Since the tops of the circles are hidden under the front panel I didn’t bother masking this part of the stamping off.

I continued my stamped circles all along the pencil line and down to the Post-It Note masks to create my scalloped border.

And once again… here’s my final card.

I also used the “ME” from the She Says – He Says stamp set, the Funky Alphabet for the word “bite”, the Funky Flowers set for his fin and tail details and the Backgrounds stamp set as a subtle back drop for my fish.

I took the same techniques again and applied it to another little fishy and came up with this card…

I again used the Funky Circles to create his scale detail.

I then used the Funky Flowers set for his fin and tail detail and also the for swirly water details behind him.  The little tag is from the Road Trip set and the alphabets are from the Mini Alpha stamp set.

Hi! I’m Michela, 25, I live in Aosta with my boy friend. My family live in Follonica (500 km away) in a small town at the seaside where I spend most of my summer holidays. In 2007 I went to study in Aosta, I knew no one and I wanted to find a way to keep my family and friends with me every day. I discovered the world of scrapbooking!

I love creating layouts with family photos. I still haven not found a specific style. My style depends a lot on my mood and what’s going on around me. I always use kraft paper and stamps, I love playing with colours on my pages. When I create a page, first I chose the photo, then I match the colours of the papers that I intend to use. When I compose my elements (photos and papers) on the table and I like the result, I try a paper for the background which is usually kraft or white paper or a solid colour. At this point I play with the stamps on my background and match them to my composition. I finish my page with embellishments and at last the title.

Unfortunately in my job I don’t get very creative. I am an accountant in a big company, I work with numbers all days and there is nothing creative in numbers! But, every evening, when I arrive at my scraproom I’m happy! I scrap every evening, on weekends and every spare moment. It relaxes me.

Scrapping has changed my life and introduced me to wonderful friends. I owe much to this hobby!

This card was created with different pennant stamps and the pennant out line stamp, then cut out. Micaela added white glaze and some glitter to add dimension.

This cute tag uses several of the pennants and white glaze. What a sweet birthday present tag this is!

For this pretty owl Mikaela used different pennant stamps and cut out shapes. The eyes are the circles from one of the banners. The owl looks very happy on this jute bag.

On the 9th day of Christmas…

I wanted to make a quick and easy item for my son’s teacher to have on her desk but I wanted to think outside of the box.   So I decided to recover a box of Kleenex and make it fun and colourful for his Kindergarten class to enjoy for the month of December.

I started off by covering each face of the box with some fun patterned paper from Basic Grey.  I then covered the top edges of the box using some soft green coloured ribbon.

On one of the long sides I wanted to create a little snowy scene with Santa and his sleigh…

For each of these images, I stamped the Santa from the Ho Ho Ho stamp set on multiple pieces of patterned paper.  I cut out each piece to his suit out of the red paper and added it to the creamy white paper.  I added some pink Copic to cheeks to “merry” him up a little!  A tough of glitter didn’t hurt either…

The back ground of snow was creating using the mini snowflake stamps from the Tree for all Seasons stamp set.

To create Santa’s sleigh, I used the same paper piecing technique as my Santa and layered my patterned paper pieces until I got my desired image built.  This cute sleigh image is from the Ho Ho Ho set as well!

On the smaller end of the box, I paper pierced a little snowman from our Merry Mr. Snowman stamp set.  His cute little candy cane is also from this set.  I added a little Copic “rouge” to this little fella too!

For the second long side, I wanted to make the side a simple greeting side so I used the “happy” stamp from the Lots of Dots Sentiments set to start and then I stamped the word “holidays” using our Royal Flush alphabet set.  I coloured the insides of the letters with my Copic markers to make them a little more festive!  I also added some cute little trees from our O Christmas Tree! set to build a little landscape of sorts.  The double wavy line image is a fun stamp from the Christmas Garlands set.

For my final small end, I stamped a reindeer fellow from our Ho Ho Ho set for Santa.  I coloured his nose and collar red to add touch of colour.

And finally for the top of the Kleenex box, I wanted to ensure that the kids were still able to pull out the tissues so I kept it simple.

I built a simple die cut layered poinsettia and added some stamped leaves from the Floating Leaves set.

I also added a die cut red snowflake with a little tag and message from the Santa’s Tags stamp set.

Overall I just adore how this came out and I just know the kids in my son’s class are going to enjoy all the whimsical critters each side has to offer!  It may be just a Kleenex box but there’s nothing to say that it can’t be something fun to look at!

So take some holiday inspiration and infuse it in your everyday!  Take something from your desk or counter and alter it to be something festive… even if it’s just a temporary decoration.

Hi everyone, welcome to another 12 Days of Christmas here at the myStampBOX blog! Today I’ll show you a gift wrapping kit made with several Christmas stamps.

Here’s the kit closed. I made the box with kraft paper and the lid with acetate. I used different embellishments and twine to close it and give it a festive look.

And here’s the inside of the kit!

Inside the kit you will find:

Gift bows: I made these from strips of cardstock previously stamped with the stars of the Deck the Halls set.

Christmas tags: I stamped gift boxes and Christmas tree decorations from the Merry Mr. Snowman, I coloured them and added some bling. I made the tags using the Deck the Halls and the Small Greetings stamps sets and some coordinations cardstock for the back.

Christmas ribbons: To embellish the ribbons I simply stamped with Staz on ink Christmas sentiments from the Merry Mr. Snowman and the Lines of Life sets.

…I started wondering what is it all about!

Hello everyone! It’s December, already! I truly can’t believe how fast that year came and went! I can still remember the beginning of it, how hard it was for me to start making a non-holiday projects and here I am, making the Christmas ones again!!! Speaking of which, what’s December all about? For me, it’s the most beautiful time of the year and the most beautiful holiday, remembering Christ’s birth. Sharing that joy with others means for me sending a huge amount of Christmas cards, tokens of friendship,wishing everyone a happy holiday season. This year, I started really early, my first card was made in August!!! But even now I’m still short of some cards! So I need to make quick cards. Here are some ideas for you.

For the first card, I timed myself – 20 minutes. It’d be faster if I haven’t searched for my scissors for a while.

In fact, I finished in 18.5 minutes but then decided to jazz it up a bit and added some shiny touches with a Stardust gel pen.

The second one took only 15 minutes and is easy peasy. Could be made faster but instead of regular markers to color the hat I used some dye inks mixed with Perfect Pearls and water.

I just love that subtle shine…

For the third one I forgot to look at my watch but it didn’t take long to make it.

Lastly, December is also about gifts. And what are gifts without tags? Here’s an idea for you:

I used a non-holiday stamp sets for this one but I think one just can’t tell…

Kristen here with a beautiful and vintage inspired tag set for you.

Since I have the honor of being day 3, I thought I would make a set of three tags for you.

First, the stamp set I have used on my cards is the  HoHoHo set.

This set is very versatile,  I bet you would never have thought to use it to make these vintage looking tags.

I have mixed two collections of paper- using Graphic 45 and Making Memories Noel collections. I also added in some embellishments such as seam binding, buttons, twine, glittered chipboard from K&Co,  pearls and velvet holly leaves.

I hand cut a Christmas tree and popped it up, along with adding a hand drawn stitch line around the paper. I also punch some scallops and added them to the sides. Along the bottom I added my Christmasy HoHoHo stamp in a tea dye color, and cut out and pop dotted the stamped saying.

Next I created this second tag, mostly using strips of paper, then I added a scallop piece of kraft circle, topped with some more paper.  With that I tied a large double bow with my seam binding ribbon and topped that with a button. I added the deer and glittered tree to the card as well. Again,  in tea dye color ink, I stamped the words Jingle Bells onto a strip and put it across the tag, I added two little cream color pearls as well.

Lastly I made this Twas the Night tag, again, still using the HoHoHo set, and some tea dye color ink, I stamped the sentiment and cut it out. I layered several strips of patterned paper ( all of this paper was scraps!) and I  hand drew on some stitching on the word block. I popped it up and put it on my tag. I then made an accordion with paper, and glued on a glittered ornament topped with some crinkled seam binding and a matching button. I also added a star chipboard towards the bottom of the tag.

I recently found that out — the hard way.   I got half-way through this project and thought…….am I crazy?!?  This is SOOOOOO out of my league.

I wanted to create some gift tags (not specifically for the holiday season), but for gifts in general.  Now……..I always like to “push the envelope” just a bit.  So, I challenged myself in making FABRIC gift tags and using my mSB stamp sets to create images on the background fabric.

Seems simple enough, right?!?  As I began to create the tags, I realized that it wasn’t the actual stamping that would give my brain a workout………..it was the sequence of steps that it would take to create the tags.

So…………in the end — after much thinking about steps & sewing & glueing & stitching & stamping & tying & cutting & embellishing………..I have created 3 Fabric Gift Tags using two mSB stamp sets:  Everyday Lines & Lines of Life.

In order to stitch some of the elements onto the fabric (felt, trim, chipboard), I needed to think through the process.  I ended up putting cardstock between the fabric layers to make the tag stiffer…….more stiff.  I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to attach the ‘final step’ embellishments onto the tags.  I glued/stitched laser-cut chipboard shapes from Magistical Memories as a unique way of attaching the tag onto the gift with ribbon.

Here is the back of one of the tags.  I used a different printed fabric for each tag and used my pinking shears to cut around the entire tag.  I love the little lace trim on the side of this one……..machine stitched between the layers of cardstock & fabric.

Hope you try stamping your own fabric tags for all those special days in your life.  They are certainly a unique way to show someone you care.

Hi everyone, I am Pearl Liu from sunny Singapore!

For my first card – Joyeux Noel – I wanted to capture the joyful expression of Merry Mr Snowman – and even make it seem like he’s wheeee-ing down a snowy hillside . Hence the snowglobe-like background that I mounted him on. I tried out a little paper piecing and gave our Merry Snowman a dotty scarf chosen from a coordinating piece of pattern paper by WRMK .  I went to town with Stickles on the snowy hill and the top hat for Mr Snowman. For a finishing touch, I used Glossy Accents on the top hat, nose and buttons on Mr Snowman.

Here’s a simple set of quick tags to make – to give away or  to attach to your presents  at Christmas.

Using a medium sized shipping tag size, I used the same simple design using coordinating papers from a single line for all 3 tags. I used SEI’s Kris Kringle Jolly Holidays and assembled the papers unto the tag. Using the present and candy cane stamps I made some fun, customized embellishments.

For the first tag , I glued on microbeads using glossy accents on the bows of the present for a fun texture. After drying , I gave the microbeads another coat of glossy accents to ensure that they stay on.

For the second tag, I gave the bow an entirely different treatment, using green Stickles to color the bow of the present and when dry, I added some paper curls for a fun, dimensional effect to the foam mounted present on the tag.

For the final tag , I stamped 2 candy cane images on white cardstock with red ink  and after cutting them out , I applied red Stickles  on the red bands of the canes. When dry, I applied Glossy Accents all over one candy cane , and on the other , only on the red distress  stickled parts. Really love the dimension and shine from using the Glossy Accent here.

I added the Joyeux Noel sentiment, gingham ribbon & twine to finish the tags off and presto, done!

Pearl

The backgrounds of the tags are created with ink applied and smooshed around with a wet wipe. A burned edge is made up of layering different colours over a torn edge. I started with a mustard colour, then added light brown and then black to create the burnt effect.
