This first card I made for a boy’s first communion. I stamped the monkey onto some patterned papers, then trimmed and paper pieced him together. The frame he’s standing in is the polaroid frame from the Pixel Perfect set, which is clear embossed onto white cardstock.

The gift is also from the Holiday Monkeys set. Here it is stamped with black StazOn, and then colored with Faber-Castell Big Brush Pens. The sentiment reads ‘Hooray’.

I used that same gift with the same coloring  for this second card. A very clean and simple card, which can be used for various occasions. The sentiment is  from the Programmed Robots set. I didn’t ink the word ‘programmed’ and the underscore at the end of the sentiment, and ended up with a perfect versatile sentiment.

Instructor and designer Christy Riopel is fun, energetic, and wildly creative. As a mother of two daughters, she still finds time to be a Contributing Writer for Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine and a paper crafting instructor, between the carpooling and mountains of laundry. Her background in Interior Design comes through in her well designed and creative layouts and projects.

Christy has taught with her own entertaining style of creative escapism internationally at many industry leading events like Camp Croppin’, CHA, Crop and Cruise, The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival, ScrapFest, and has worked for some of the leading companies in the industry like, Westcott and BasicGrey.

My name is Carolyn Lontin. I have been married to Rick since January 1997; we have one son, Seth and two crazy dogs! We live in gorgeous Colorado, in a suburb just south of Denver. We are less than 20 minute drive to the mountains and love to go there often! I began scrapping in October 2001 to preserve my son’s childhood memories and it quickly became an obsession! I love capturing my family’s “real” moments both in my photos and in my journaling on my layouts and projects. I have found the creative outlet of scrapping to be incredibly relaxing and quite addictive, which is shocking to the previously dominate non-artistic side of me! Over the past few years, I have had the honor of having my work published in major publications!  Since April 1994, I have been a Human Resource Director for a manufacturing company. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, photography, cheering on my son’s many sports teams, mini-adventures exploring in the mountains, playing with our dogs, and reading. I am super excited to be a part of the My Stamp Box Design Team!

Hello… My name is Gladys Chia and I am from Sunny Singapore. I have been introduced to the scrapbooking world in 2008 by my elder sister. Loving all the beautiful things – papers, ribbons, stickers, flowers. I used to hoard them because they are toooo pretty to use them! I love to create my own handmade stuff whenever I am having time on my hands. Its has been a very fun and interesting journey so far. I am loving each and every part of the process in creating my own art. I love traveling, shopping, reading, watching movies and having fun!! To make the background of my layout, I first mounted all the letters of the Friday Night Stencil set onto my acrylic block and repeatedly stamped that onto my background paper.

After stamping the background, I applied a thin layer of gesso to the entire page to work the stamping a  bit more into the background.

Finally, I stamped some of the hearts of the Cherry Blossoms set in blue and yellow on the left side of my picture, almost like confetti thrown onto the page.

This kind of background stamping is a very easy way to break up the white space, without making somethingtoo busy.

We have finally decided on our new Design Team for the coming term. Again, we have many of our amazing designers return.

Welcome old and new designers! We are excited and proud to have you on our team!

Linda here with Wednesday Challenge blog post! Today, I am sharing an altered notebook with kraft cardstock cover. This is originally a moleskin book and thought it would be more fun for me to redesign it before I use it for my Spring 2012 journal.

I used Cherry Blossoms stamp set to create the background of the cover, with various flower images and dye ink colors. They are so much fun!

To create dimension, I used multiple chipboard stickers as the main embellishments and the title was stamped using Your Story stamp set with dark green and black dye ink. This is quite a fun project for yourself or for a gift to someone special! Don’t forget to share your Spring altered project to all of us here in MyStampBox.

I hope the weather at your place is much better than the weather here in Belgium. It has been raining cats and dogs the whole day. I don’t mind if it rains when I’m at home to create but I had to work, grrr. Oh well, now I’m at home and I’m ready to start playing with some scrapping goodies. When I’m creating, I don’t like to be disturbed because I hate it when I need to finish something the next day. I made a door hanger to let my hubby know that I’m creating, hahaha.
