I dress the bookmark with the butterfly image from Colorful Companions Stamp Set and Wishing You Sunshine Stamp Set for the sentiment on the bottom part of the bookmark. I added pink lace and pearls to finish.

I started by die-cutting two different sizes of hearts out of a larger piece of copy paper. You could use post-it notes too, as long as your paper is not too thick. Be sure to keep the punched out hearts as well, we will use both.

I placed one of the templates onto the card and adhered it with temporary adhesive.

I used stamps from the Funky Flowers and from the Repeat after Me set onto my card. Here you see me using one of the zipper stamps from the Repeat after Me set to stamp inside the heart.

When the heart had dried, I covered it. And then placed the template for the smaller heart partly over that one.

After stamping, uncovering shows a red heart, which appears to be tucked under the large orange one. You continue the rest of the card the exact same way. Just keep in mind that the heart that you’re stamping first, is the one that will show completely. The second one will be partly behind it.

To cover an entire heart with a long and smaller stamp likes those from the Repeat after Me set, I simply stamp in the middle of the heart first and then build my way up and down the heart.

I finished up the card with a sentiment from Programmed Robots.

I hope you liked my little tutorial and will give this masking technique a try.

Welcome to day 7 of our 12 days of Christmas!
It’s my turn to show you my creation. I decided to make a Christmas banner. I used glimmer mist to spray on the banner and then I used the stamps Winter Flakes
The pictures are from Christmas last year. I love to see all those memories during this holiday season.

Thanks for joining us for more Christmas inspiration. Today I’m sharing a fun craft project that makes a great stocking stuffer or teacher gift.

I used a black marker to color only the belly of the snowman from the Merry Mr. Snowman stamp set. I stamped it onto sturdy kraft holly paper from product partner Canvas Corp and used a craft knife to cut out the inside of the stamped image. I wrapped the paper around a pack of Tic Tac candies to completely cover it, allowing the white candies to show out of the window. I stamped the entire snowman onto white cardstock, colored in selected portions, and cut out only the top half of the image. I made sure to cut little fringes into his scarf and added some holly and bling for an extra special touch. I glued his crisp, smiling face right onto the box, layering on top of the window section. The end result is a fun candy treat that you can call Snowman Kisses, Snowman Poop, or anything else you like.

It’s all very well being able to cut your favourite shapes from patterned paper but with all the stash in the world, there’ll still be times when you won’t have the right colour or pattern for a project.  A piece of plain coloured card just won’t cut it (sorry for the pun, I couldn’t resist).

Try creating your own patterns on die cuts and using alcohol markers to colour them in.

I stamped using Memento ink from Tsukineko as it doesn’t react with alcohol markers.

Stamping on the die cut shapes also means you can tie everything together by stamping the same pattern on the background.

I’ve used Funky Circles and  Garden Sketches on my cards.

I used Pennants to create the banner on the top part of the layout and link each one of them with natural hemp and buttons. The butterflies and strip on the very bottom and top part come from Funky Flowers.  Below are the detail photos of the layout;

I use two photo corners from snapshot and machine stitch the top and bottom part of the orange patterned paper for accent.

The sun and the cloud come from Wishing You Sunshine collection.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets. FUN and versatile.. I used random three patterned paper strips machine stitch all of them with green color thread for accent and layer some cute buttons on top.

I stamp “The Story” on gaffer tape and layer with photo strip (from Snapshot collection)  and Bold Blocks with my info added on the column. My title “This Year” comes from Royal Flush. For the flower I use light blue and gold embossing powder to create two layer of flowers for 3D accent.

Hi, I’m Isolde Pyncket and I live in a small village in the west part of Belgium.  I live together with my boyfriend and our cat Baileys.  In june 2006 I started scrapping and I’m totally hooked since then.  Scrapping is a way to express myself in a creative way.  I love to play with paper, stamps and glimmermist.  That’s why I walk around with dirty fingers most of the time, haha.  During daytime, I work as a teacher in primary school and during night time, I’m a scrapper!  I’m thrilled to be a member of this DT and hopefully you’ll be inspired by my work.

Hi, my name is Els. I life in a small town in Belgium with my husband and two children (girl – 2008, boy – 2011). Stamping and paper are truly my passion. A few years ago I started stamping and making cards again. I was instantly hooked. Not too much later, I took the plunge and made my first few layouts as well. My children are my biggest inspiration, along with all the fabulous products available in this industry. I love trying out new products and new techniques.

Later this week we are sharing Fall inspired projects by our designers. Fortunately here in Toronto the weather has been great over the weekend, rather Summery than Fallish, but the leaves are bound to turn colour soon and there will be more time spend indoors on our crafts again!

Bake clay according to the instruction provided on the package. For me, it’s like baking cookies without the smell of chocolate chips! I waited about 30 minutes and let cool outside of the oven. The polymer clay that I pick for this project is pearl color, as it will be versatile for any project that may require various color selections. I will color them later using acrylic paint based on the project.

Using these two molds and one package of polymer clay, I was able to create 5 flowers and 5 doves. Sound pretty good to me… Here is the sample card I created using these handmade embellishments.

For this card, I used Itty Bittys, Floating Leaves, and Repeat After Me stamp sets. On the next picture, you will be able to see the “thickness” of these embellishments. They can be a bit heavy, though…

At the end of this challenge day post, I would like you to create your own unique embellishments and share it with all of us. I am sure you can come up with tons of creative ideas and inspirations. Have fun and happy stamping!
