Today I’d like to share a fun sketch with you. I designed a frame like page effect for you to use:

For my sketch today I decided not to include any photos and just have fun with paper and ink instead.

Included in my design I used “Letterboxes” and “Funky Alphabet” to create my jumbled title. I used the tag and postage canceling images from the “Road Trip” stamp set. The “traveling by” checklist is from the “Passport to Adventure” stamp set. I used the “Neighborhoods” landscape at the top for my city scape image. I used the number stamp from the “Review Time” set to create my list. And finally I used the camera, photo corners and film strip images from the “Snapshot” stamp set.

Hope you are enjoying wonderful spring weather! We finally have nice weather in Belgium. It’s so welcome as it has been raining or grey sky during the past 3 weeks, yikes! Oh well, it was perfect weather to scrap.

I made a layout about a buggy tour we did on vacation in the Dominican Republic. We had an amazing time and were covered with mud when arrived back at the hotel. We saw amazing nature, beautiful beaches, drank coconut milk, …

The stamp set Road Trip was perfect for this layout!

It’s me again, Isolde! I’m here with a new challenge for you. I love things clean & simple so here is my challenge: KEEP IT SIMPLE! Just use cardstock + 1 picture + title. That’s all.

This is what I came up with. I used the first picture I took on New Years Day @ 4 am.

For the title I used Friday Night Stencil. I’m addicted to that alphabet . For the dots on top of the page, I used Itty Bittys.

I created this layout fairly quickly, using a coordinated beach-themed collection and neutral kraft cardstock:

Stamps used:  Mini Alphas, Just Add Notes, Wishing You Sunshine

Using foam adhesive, I added depth to the layout by popping up the stamped sun, and a few key fishies cut from patterned paper.

As this is my last official project with the myStamp BOX team, I would like to add a huge thank  you to Bettina and the team for all the fun I’ve had over the last year.  Family obligations and other commitments prevented me from pursuing another term, but I can’t wait to see what the new team comes up with!  It was a pleasure working with you all!!

To make the background of my layout, I first mounted all the letters of the Friday Night Stencil set onto my acrylic block and repeatedly stamped that onto my background paper.

After stamping the background, I applied a thin layer of gesso to the entire page to work the stamping a  bit more into the background.

Finally, I stamped some of the hearts of the Cherry Blossoms set in blue and yellow on the left side of my picture, almost like confetti thrown onto the page.

This kind of background stamping is a very easy way to break up the white space, without making somethingtoo busy.

What else could be more perfect to use that the stamp set Road Trip.

So, anyone having plans for a ‘Road Trip’?

First of all I made these soft vintage looking polaroid frames for my pictures. I mounted the stamp onto my acrylic block, but instead of applying ink directly onto the stamp, I used a foam ink applicator to do so. Just like you would rub your ink applicator around the edges of a piece of paper to make it look distressed, I rubbed it to the edges of my stamp. Stamping it off onto some white cardstock gives a subtle impression. What’s the benefit of using this technique against just distressing onto the paper: the finer details of the stamp (here the two fine lines of the polaroid frame) don’t get lost in the distressing.

I stamped the tape strips of the set onto a piece of kraft wrapping paper and wrinkled it up for extra texture.

The text stamps of the set are also fun to use and very versatile.

Wendy here to share up a beautiful Color Challenge for you!

I find a lot of inspiration in color, patterns, and beautiful quotes….over at Pinterest.  This color challenge I picked up over there with some beautiful palettes & images linked up in this post.  I live near the beach (only 30 min+ to be exact) so the color of the ocean is just so soothing & relaxing. I also love purple and lilacs are one loveliest of flowers (in my opinion) along with orchids (I likey like too) and roses….ok, yep, I love flowers. (wink wink)

So, using this inspiration & some fabulous myStampBOX stamps, here’s my color challenge project share -

“Go. Go. Go. See”

12×12 Layout

Now for some details…

A few months back, Canvas Corp so generously blog hopped with us on the myStampBOX design team.  Unfortunately, I was out of town on vacation to NYC and couldn’t do the hop but was itching to use these super cool mini canvas shapes on a project – i.e. hearts, circles, ATCs – so many possibilities!!  So, I used these with some Ranger Distress Stain + water to create the effect on these canvas shapes.  I just love the watercolor & splotchy effect to them.  Also, I used the myStampBOX set, Seal It, on the corner of the canvas heart.  I stamped it using Staz-On black ink.  The peek of embossed metal tin you see I embossed with my Big Shot Sizzix machine + embossing template + metal tin foil.

On a side note, these photos are inspired from my travels – NOLA (New Orleans), Italy (Torino), and Florida (Destin)….love travel and to “go go go see” the world…near & far.

Here I also used the Ranger Distress Stain + water again along with a heat tool and some parts of this I just allowed to air dry.  Such a beautiful & dreamy effect.  Stamped up with Seal It and Road Trip stamps.  Also, I accented with some coordinating bling, brads, and clear dewdrops.

Using some large chipboard letters (deep in my stash – ha!) along with some different colors of mist in blue & purple for the effect on this page.  Stamped (“you are here”) above the mini photo with the set Road Trip.  I repeated the “go go” with the alpha set, Rough Copy.  Such a fun alpha set you can leave as outlined or color/fill in.

Up until this week, anyways!  Brrrrr… temperatures have dropped and already, I can’t wait until summer!

So, to warm up our spirits and brighten up our days until it arrives, I have a bright and cheery colour challenge to share with you!

Doesn’t that make you feel warm and fuzzy?

Here’s a layout created with this colour palette:

I stamped images on patterned papers, using black ink and the Colorful Companions and Wishing You Sunshine stamps sets.

Hope this colour challenge inspired (and warms!) you, too!

For the stars on either corner of the photo I used the Back to the Basics set  with black embossing powder.

For the cute banner I used the Pennants stamp set on patterned paper and then cut them out. The little stars that you see between each pennant are also from the the Pennant set.

The word “Ball” was stamped with the Colour Me alpha stamp set. I love that I can custom colour my title.

Journey to Atlantis:  “Disney-inspired”

I used one of my favourite stamp sets from mSB: Seal It!  This set is great for making little embellishments that just complete a layout.  I love taking the stamp and stamping “off the page”, like in the photo below.

Bound for Hawaii: “hot destination-inspired”

In this vacation layout, I used the Mini Letters stamp set for my “Hawaii” title, and the Pennants stamp set to embellish a triangle tag banner from Canvas Corp. (one of myStampBox’s Partner Companies).

Hello everyone! Agata here with some more inspiration before Christmas!

The older I get, the more I’m nostalgic and realize how important traditions are. My husband’s grand-mother, 96 yrs old, was organizing each year a family gathering for her 6 children and their families. The latter grew and all in all we were something like 40 around the tables. But I said “she was” since she passed away this year. There will be a family gathering this year, too, and we’ll try to keep some of the traditions but will we be able to keep them all?

Fortunately last year I took some pictures of the important “pieces” of this great puzzle. And made a layout about it, using myStamp Box stamps of course! Here it is:

I also used some leftover papers from last year’s collection by My Little Yellow Bicycle. To embellish the upper part of my layout I stamped Winter Flakes with Versamark ink and then added pigment powder to them. This gives a nice shine to images.

I also stamped ornaments from Deck the Halls set on some patterned paper and embossed them with powder with glitter finish. Then I cut them out and adhered them to my layout using dimensional adhesive. All those glittery accents compliment nicely the paper and frame that also are glittery and the letter stickers I used for the title.

It’s me again, Isolde! This is my second post for this wonderful blog. It’s Project Day so I wanted to show you a layout I made last weekend. My bf and I love to take the car on a Sunday evening and drive to the coast for a long walk. We live about 40 min. away from the sea. It’s so relaxing to walk there and here the sound of the sea. We don’t love big crowds of people so we always go in the evening.

I used several stamp sets for this layout. For the title I used Summer Alpha. The phrase ’special day’ and the little hearts are from Itty Bittys and the pennants are from Mini Pennants

Wendy here with a project share for you today using quite a stash of mSB stamps!

I’m always inspired by my travels {even when a “bit” of work is involved}…I have a major love for travel and I think airplanes are one of the best inventions everrrrrr because I absolutely LOVE flying {even when there are layovers, delays, yada yada, but I’ve been quite fortunate in this way…[insert crossing fingers] – wink wink}.  With a passport almost full of stamps + a couple of great pilots jetting across the Atlantic = freedom to see the world.

With this project share, I used several versatile & fabulous mSB stamps sets on this layout “Jetset”.  One thing {ok, I love several things} about mSB stamps but I love using lots of details and mSB definitely delivers in the images.

Now here are a few close ups….

Here I used the Friday Night Stencil set to repeat the title.  Just a great stencil stamp set!

How cool is the stitching with the Repeat After Me set?!  I usually like to break out the sewing machine but I took an oath to self to stick to the “stamped stitching” and loveeeeee how this turned out.  I stamped the zig zag stitch about three times randomly here to add a bit of randomness and some “doodle stitching” with a black journal pen.

In the top left corner, I used the Seal It set.  Love the circle seals and star from this set.  Also, in the bottom right corner, I used the “handle with care” stamp from Road Trip.  I love layering lots of details along with textures, stamps (of course), labels, and rubons, etc….

Another of my fav mSB sets is “Bold Blocks”.  The “date” block stamp is from this set.  ”You are here” is from Road Trip.  I mixed these stamps in along with some colored rubons.

You see I didn’t start scrapbooking until they were all grown up so I have a lot of catching up to do.

I found a photo of my daughter when she was having her 5th birthday so I promptly pulled out some stamps and paper and got busy creating.

To add some detail to a diecut tag I inked up a stamp from the Mention It set. It has so many great sentiments and they are not just for cards.

For my title I used the Friday Night Stencil alphabet set. I stamped onto patterned paper, circle punched the letters out and put them on my layout with pop dots.

I hope that you will pull out your stamps and some photos that you have been meaning to scrapbook and get scrapping!
