Don’t you just love those myStampBOX Itty Bittys?! I know I do! That’s why I decided to show you a few cards I created with this fun and versatile set of small square stamps!

Itty Bitty images are perfect for colouring with your favourite markers or (watercolour) pencils:

And some of the Itty Bittys, like the woodgrain, can be used to create a patchwork background like this one:

The ‘Thanks Friend’ sentiment is part of the myStampBOX Funky Flowers set.

But my favourite Itty Bitty just might be the one with the small dots…

1. These are the colors I used: Worn Lipstick, Picket Fence, and Barn Door. I’m ready for Valentine’s Day!

2. I squeezed the bottles to create puddles of stain on my nonstick craft sheet, making sure that the applicator tips didn’t touch the colors of stain that were already on the sheet. *NOTE: You can do this technique by using Distress Ink stamp pads as well. The key to the marbleizing technique, however, is the white stain. Simply rub the stamp pads onto the craft sheet next to the white stain and continue as shown.

3. I took a piece of kraft cardstock and ran it through the puddles, allowing the colors to mix and blend on the cardstock. This was how it looked after absorbing the first round of stain. I decided that I wanted more coverage, so I wiped my sheet clean and added more stain puddles.

4. In order to help the cardstock absorb the stain more quickly and help the colors blend, I gently spritzed the cardstock with water. My water had a small amount of Perfect Pearls in it which added a lovely shimmer to the background. I continued adding layers of stain until I was happy with the background and dried the cardstock with my heat tool.

Here’s the finished card. I stamped gently onto the marbleized background using Barn Door ink with the heart from Back to the Basics. The bold swirl paper is from our product partner Canvas Corp.

I went digging through my stamps to see what I could put together to create a unique sentiment. I stamped the square from Bold Blocks and added the sassy handwritten phrase from Sigh Gush Gasp. A little extra glitter gel pen on the sentiment and some Scrappers Spools from Karen Foster Design were the final touches. I can’t wait to try new color combinations with this marbelizing technique. Be sure to share your projects if you give it a try!

I used one of my favorite stamp sets, Neighborhoods, and my favorite stamp from this set. I guess this stamp makes me think about my own neighborhood, with the school building and the bus. I just love it! I’ve already made a Halloween card and Christmas card with it. Time for a New Year card. I thought about how my neighborhood looks when the clock strikes midnight on the 31st of December. And I remembered the fireworks! Immediately another favorite stamp set came to my mind, Funky Flowers. Some of the blooms look just like fireworks! OK, here’s how I proceeded.

1) First, I stamped the sentiment on my card base using Summer Alpha and Lots of Numbers sets.

2) Second, on a piece of black cardstock I stamped at the bottom the row of houses and white embossed it. Then on the top portion I stamped some blooms using white ink.

3) The third step consisted in stamping and embossing more blooms on top of white stamping. You know, just like fireworks , some fading and some just blooming.

4) And finally, I’ve assembled everything and my card was finished. Just in time to wish you a Happy, inspired and a very stampy Year!

We have been busy stamping and scrapping all year and before we take a week off, we are going to show you what we have been creating for our friends and families.

On the 11th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me….eleven pipers piping, so let’s “deck the halls”.

Hiya all!  Wendy here with Day 11 of our 12 Days of Christmas.  Are you enjoying all the fab inspiration?!!  Just a great wealth of amazing stamped projects with Christmas/winter/holiday themes.

I’m lovin’ all the amazing inspiration!

So, I’m here to help you “deck the halls” with a card showcasing several mSB stamp sets.

Here in this card, I used three stamp set from myStampBOX: Deck the Halls, Back to the Basics, and Repeat After Me.  What a great medley of stamps and I really love the end result!

Using Versamark ink, red embossing powder, and a heat gun, this is how I embossed the red ornament from Deck the Halls. The second ornament (stamped in black) is also from Back to the Basics.  For the “string”, I used the straight stitch stamp from Repeat After Me.

Here I stamped “deck the halls” from Deck the Halls above the paper phrase mounted on pop dots.

And if you know me (and cards), you know I love to also stamp the flap of the envelope with a matching/coordinating greeting with the card.  So, here you have it! Then, embellish with a random splash of bling/pearls of your color choice.

It’s all very well being able to cut your favourite shapes from patterned paper but with all the stash in the world, there’ll still be times when you won’t have the right colour or pattern for a project.  A piece of plain coloured card just won’t cut it (sorry for the pun, I couldn’t resist).

Try creating your own patterns on die cuts and using alcohol markers to colour them in.

I stamped using Memento ink from Tsukineko as it doesn’t react with alcohol markers.

Stamping on the die cut shapes also means you can tie everything together by stamping the same pattern on the background.

I’ve used Funky Circles and  Garden Sketches on my cards.

I always love the idea of taking some stamps and making something else with them. So this time I took the Abundant Blossoms set and stamped some flowers, then cut them out and arranged them to create a wreath.

Then I’ve added some smaller flowers to fill in the spaces, red Stickles to flowers’ centers and of course a sentiment!

While playing with my cut out flowers, I had another idea of a one layer card, perfect for mailing! Here it is:

You could stamp the same thing in blue and red to obtain the  Nordic look which is so popular right now.

OK, so here’s my challenge to you. Take some non-Holiday themed stamps and make something very Holiday-ish with them. And most of all, have fun!

I want to share a step-by-step with you today featuring a card I recently created.

I know, I know…………you’re thinking, “a card created by Jill”?  I realize that cards aren’t really in my comfort zone (I’m more of a layout-girl), but I promise you that you will not be disappointed.  This card is as easy as 1-2-3.

Step-by-step:

1. Cut a 12×6 piece of cardstock and score in half (I used Kraft, my fave).  Now you have a 6×6 card base.

2. Cut a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of cardstock out of another colour.  Cut another piece of Kraft cardstock 5 1/4 x 5 1/4.  Attached to the card front.

3. Lightly spray with Glimmer Mist in your favourite colours.  Let dry.

4. Tear a thin strip of dictionary paper (yes…..right out of an old dictionary) and attach for a flower stem.  Cut 2 “leaves” from a pattern paper and doodle.  Stitch through both with your sewing machine.

5. Use adhesive decorative tape (I used FunTAPE by KikiArt) to make “grass” at the base of the stem.

6. Use your favourite mSB stamp sets to stamp on pre-made felt flowers/petals (I used Timelines).  Add a decorative button to the centre of the flower.  Attach to card.

7. Attach title stickers (or you could stamp this as well) to the card.  I also hand wrote the “you” of my title.

8. Attach a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of pattern paper to the inside of your card and stamp with the Sigh Gush Gasp stamp set.  Embellish.

9. Send card to someone special.

Wendy here with a show n’ tell project share using only ONE stamp set, Repeat After Me. I LOVEEEE this set, so many options, and the stitching, zipper, and wire images, so cool!

to make this fun & quirky Halloween card.

A tidbit “behind the scenes” on this card…

I knew I wanted to use the zipper image on the card in a quirky kind of way and what better way than to create a zipper effect on the card.  First, I stamped the zipper image as shown.  Then, I cut out the “v” section as shown and layered a glitter cardstock under the card as shown.  Also, I used the mesh image stamp, straight stitch image stamp, and barbed wire image stamp, as shown.  Also, on the paper, I added a bit of green bling jewels for some flair.

There you have it! ONE stamp set used to make this fun card!!

including 3 inch squares of patterned paper, MyStampBOX stamps, ink, punches, 2.5 inch squares of cardstock, an acrylic block, scraps of ribbon and a crop o dile.

I glued the patterned paper back to back so the note is double sided.

On one side I left a blank piece of cardstock so that I could write a personalized note:

On the other side I stamped several different images (including images from Colorful Companions, Wishing You Sunshine, Bold Blocks):

A small punched hole for tying some ribbon is the final touch. And here are a bunch of them together:

My kids totally appreciate them and I figure I might as well enjoy making them before they get to be too “cool” for lunchbox notes from Mom

It’s Sue and I’m going to share a fun tutorial to make this quick and easy hostess gift.

To start, you’ll need patterned paper scraps; a sheet of coordinating cardstock (8.5 x 11 or 12 x 12); a scoring board or blade trimmer and stylus; scissors, your favourite myStamp BOX stamps; coordinating inks; punches; a strong wet adhesive; dimensional foam adhesive; twine or ribbon.

Start by cutting your cardstock to 4.75″ x 10.5″  This will create a box that is slightly larger than 3″ x 3″ x 0.75″.  Turn your cardstock as shown below.  Beginnning at the left side, score your cardstock at 2.5″, 3.25″, 6.5″ and 7.25″.

Turn your cardstock and score at 0.75″ and 4″.

Fold along scored lines and crease sharply, using a bone folder or the edge of a ruler.  Turn your cardstock so it is lengthwise and cut along the scorelines just to the vertical lines.

Repeat on both sides.

Using your border punch, trim the 2.5″ flap at the end of the cardstock, as shown:

Using your patterned paper, cut the following: 2 pieces that measure 3″ x 3″ and 4 pieces that measure 3″ x 0.75″.  You will also need two pieces for the sides of the lid that are 0.75″ wide and one that is 3″ wide – the length of both will depend on the punch that you used.  Attach them to the cardstock and assemble your box, using a strong adhesive.

I punched a circle from patterned paper and stamped it with the “just for you” sentiment from the Itty Bittys stamp set.  On a scrap piece of white cardstock, I stamped and embossed a butterfly from the Colorful Companions stamp set.  I cut out the butterfly and attached to the side of the circle just down the middle.  I then folded up the wings for a bit of dimension.

I added a line of foam adhesive horizontally to the back of the circle and attached it to the box.  I then wrapped twine around the box several times, sliding it under the circle and tied it in a bow.  Voila!

I also created very simple, coordinating 3″ x 3″  cards to slide inside the box.

I used the Border Lines, Colorful Companions and Symbols stamp sets

The sentiments (from left to right) read:  ”You Make My Heart Flutter”, “You’re SWEET!” and “You’re tea-riffic!”

This project can be adapted to house any size of card or occasion.

I started with a piece of paper from Tim Holtz’s Resist Kraft Stash notepad and clear-embossed the dots using the myStampBOX Backgrounds set of stamps. It adds a subtle texture and shine that’s wonderful to see in person.

Here’s a closer look at the background. I love the tone-on-tone pattern! The sentiment was stamped using the Sigh Gush Gasp sentiments. I just adore this set of stamps! The funky hand-scribbled look is fresh and fun. This time I paired the sentiment with a new Lifestyle Crafts layered die that looks like it was made just for these stamps. Wendy here & I’m excited to share with you a quick & sweet card for this “Thursday Tutorial” .  This card literally took me less than 30 minutes!

Actually, this card came about because I was putting together a care package to mail off this week to my boyfriend, Gianluca, in Italy and he loves handmade/handwritten notes.  So, I made him a card with a handwritten note inside to put in with the package. The sweet things we do when the one we loves lives in another country, 5000+ miles, and it’s about 3 more months until we see each other again! I bought him a couple of shirts that I think he will really love from American Eagle (plus they had the ENTIRE store 40% sale on Labor Day….yeahhhh), so I shopped it up a bit for him.  He’s practically addicted to one shirt I bought for him back in the early summer. {I should insert here:  I’ll have him return the love when I go to visit in December! ))  Who wouldn’t be a sucker for some Italian shoes, right?!}

Anyhoo, on to my card…

I used a couple of my fav mSB stamps sets, Programmed Robots & Seal It.  These are great sets PACKED with several image varieties (the robots are the cutest everrrrrrrr) and the Seal It set has so many possibilities!  I love stamp sets that are very versatile!

Pop Dots – American Crafts

1. I liked to work with smaller cards – sometimes even cut to 3 1/2″ x 5″ (folded).  However, this card is slightly larger at 4″ x 6″ (folded).  So, first cut your cardstock so that it folds to 4″ x 6″.  If you are an 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper love, this is perfect for you!  12″x12″ paper lovers, you can pull out those scraps & use them up for this sweet card!

2.  I absolutely adore the paper & had used it on a previous project.  Well, I had scraps (of course, who doesn’t?l) I used the 1″ circle punch and randomly punched out circles from leftover scraps.

3. Also, I had some leftover mini wallet prints previously printed up for a mini book.  So, I wanted to personalize the card a bit more and I like adding photos to a card sometimes, to me, it’s a unique touch!  I also punched these out also with the 1″ circle punch, mounted on pop dots for a bit of dimension (note:  I only mounted the photos on pop dots, not the paper circles since I wanted the pics to have more emphasis), and randomly placed the punched paper circles.   I added the stamps of choice from Seal It as shown above.  I even added a mini puffy heart sticker in the center of the top seal.

4.  Stamped a sentiment from Programmed Robots (“my heart beeps for you”) onto the bracket diecut, added a cute little heart puffy sticker in the corner, and mounted the diecut on pop dots to the bottom side of the card.

5.  There you have it, a quick, sweet, fun & under 30 minutes card!
