Welcome to our SWEET BLOG HOP! until Thursday midnight
Welcome to our “Just Add Sweets” Blog Hop
The design team’s challenge was to take the SWEET theme of our blog hop and apply the colours of white, pink and orange to their creations.
You participate in the blog hop by leaving a comment on every participating myStamp BOX designer’s blog (follow the link on each blog). After leaving a comment on all the blog posts, return to the mSB blog and tell us which your favourite project was for a chance to win a brand new stamp set released this month! Have fun! You can still participate until Thursday midnight EST.
The title of the blog hop inspired me to look for SWEET stamps. I love the SYMBOLS stamp set which has cute small images. The heart and cupcake stamps were chosen to create two projects:
A box with sweets was wrapped with a white band of paper covered in orange and pink hearts. I added two ribbons in the same colours and made a sweet out of mulberry paper to decorate the top.
This card is made from orange cardstock, stamped with the cupcake in Versamark ink. I stamped three cupcakes inked with markers on a white distressed panel, then embossed them with clear embossing powder. The panel was layered with mulberry paper on another distressed panel, then glued on top of a pink and white ribbon.
To decorate the cupcakes I used clear and milky white seed beads. They give the project a nice texture. Hope you like the projects and our colour choices for this blog hop.
Please hop along now to our talented Tracey Taylor to check out her sweet work!

Congrats ladies and happy shopping!
Grab that Glitter!
Happy Thursday everyone!
Today I want to show you an easy way to use glitter. Yup… you know. All those little tiny bottles of wonderful and super clingy glitters we all hide in our scrappy stash!
So grab your stamps and glitter and come play along with me today!
I started off by stamping a few flower images from the Garden Sketches stamp set with black Memento ink.

I masked off the flower images and stamped a few fern images from the Floating Leaves stamp set.
Then I coloured my flower images with my Copic markers, using the same colours (or close) to the colours of glitter you choose to use.

Once all the images were coloured, I used my Quickie Glue pen and started to colour each flower in individually. Once my glue was applied, I sprinkled on my glitter and tapped off the excess.

Here is the image completely coloured and all the glitters applied.

I finished off my glittered squared with some soft inking around the edges, some Copic airbrushing for some speckles, some piercing using my piercing tool and adding some pretty green adhesive pearls to the center. I then took my square and applied some hairspray to it. This was to ensure the glitter stays in place and it didn’t effect the ink either!

I added some purple frames and then used the same fern stamp again with Versamark ink on the green card base and placed the purple frames on the card base. I also added a quick sentiment using the Oval Office stamp set.
I hope that you too grab your stamps and glitter and create a fun card today!
Thanks for joining me today!

Round and Round – Ad Challenge
I am a HUGE fan of ad challenges – somehow I feel that no other challenge will allow you as much leeway in how to interpret what you see.
And ad can evoke a colour combination, you may be taken by the font used, or some design elements…it just amazes me how many different takes you can get from one ad challenge. So, for this month’s challenge I just had to grab one of my favourite ads – look at it: the possibilities are totally endless…are you gonna look at the colours? The font?? The elements???
So, which element of this ad would tickle your fancy and get your creative juices flowing??
I chose the circle theme and the focal blue.
The stamp sets used for this layout were:
Review Time
If there’s one thing I love about the myStampBOX stamps, it’s how versatile they can be. Sometimes, just by thinking outside the box, a stamp set can be used in a unique and fun way.
Take the Review Time set. On the surface, you’d expect to see it used on a page about favourites, whether it be a favourite place, trip, movie, event, etc.
I decided to use it on my page about the new little man in my life (my son). The stars are the perfect accent for a boy page and the vertical numbers reminded me of a nursery rhyme theme. As a final touch, I added the “My Rating…10 out of 10″ stamp to finish off my title.

So grab those myStampBOX stamps and create something special! Think outside the box and get more bang for your stamping bucks!
Happy Stamping!
Cherie
