I know you’ve seen them!!! Banners here, banners there, lots of banners everywhere!!! So why not on the My Stamp Box Blog!!?? Today we will see how much fun it can be to use stamps to create your banners!!

For this layout, I chose to use the MSB LETTERBOXES set.

It was so simple! I stamped in black ink onto white cardstock and then cut them out. I added them to the banner using Helmar’s 1/2 inch square Zapdots! LOVE these things!!

After they were adhered to the banner, I added a layer of stickles!! PK Glitz has some awesome glitters that would work awesome for this as well… unfortunately I did not have the right colors to use with this project.

My Stamp BOX has so many awesome alphabet sets! Try one today and see what fun they can be when creating banners!

With this post I say farewell to MyStampBox. I am stepping down from my position on the Design Team. Life with 5 kids is busy to say the least and stamping has become a bit of a challenge for me at this time! I want to thank Bettina for this awesome opportunity, Allison for her super leadership, and TraceyT for introducing me to this wonderful world of stamping… MyStampBox!! HUGE KUDO’s to the team… you girls ROCK! I’ll continue to stalk the blog for inspiration and ideas!!

This is Tina… Over and out!!

There are so many things you can do when using stamps and chipboard together!! here are just a couple of ideas for you to try…

First, we are going to use a sentiments stamp and repetition.

I chose a set of nesting chipboard from Magistical Memories. The outer part and inner part, I misted both with RED Maya Mist. The middle frame I painted black.

Once these were dry, I then dug out my LINES OF LIFE stamp set. I used the large center chipboard for my stamping. I chose the SENDING YOU SINCERE THANKS stamp, inked it in black and began stamping in straight lines starting in the middle of the chipboard. I moved the stamp to the left and right so that the wording was spaced over the chipboard. I covered the entire piece using this technique. Then, I nested all three pieces back together. Now you are ready to create something with your customized chipboard!!

And here is a simple card I made using my stamping technique!

*************************************************************************

Here for my second technique, we are going to try embossing and using a cloud stamp to make a design throughout the entire piece of chipboard!

Again, I chose to use nesting chipboard from Magistical Memories. This time, 2 hearts are used.

Using the WISHING YOU SUNSHINE stamp set (one of my favorites!) I chose the cloud with the flourishes on it. I inked it with clear VersaMark ink and stamped over the entire piece of chipboard. It is ok to overlap some, but try not to do it too much. Do this step quickly as we don’t want the ink to dry.

Next, generously sprinkle entire chipboard piece with embossing powder and heat et it until melted.I then chose a red glimmer mist to fill in the rest of the bare chipboard. Remember, the embossing powder is now going to act like a resist, so only the bare chipboard will soak up the mist. I used a paint brush for more control.

Notice that i was not too fussy with … it gives a really random and fun look without the need for perfection!

Now your stamped chipboard is ready for use! I layered patterned paper underneath and here is the card that I created with it!

So there are 2 fun techniques to do with your stamps!! Can’t wait to see what YOU create using stamps and chipboard!!

And Remember, Helmar makes the BEST Adhesives for chipboard! Try the Premium Craft Glue or the Quickdry 450!! You won’t be sorry!!

Happy Scrapping!

Are you enjoying the beautiful spring? I know I sure am! It’s great to have so many less layers to have to wear!!

For this week’s Wednesday Challenge, I have created a sketch for you to work with!

Here is the LO that I created using it!!

To create the title on this page, I used the myStampBox SUMMER ALPHA stamp set!

Using brown StazOn ink, I stamped the title onto the striped patterned paper and then cut them out. I used a Circle punch and cut out the brown circles, as well as cut the same size circles out of plain chipboard. I then mounted the brown circles to the chipboard, and the title letters to the brown circles! This enabled me to use foam squares to pop my title around the circle!! Such a simple thing to do, yet it helps to give the page a POP and a unique looking title!

I can’t wait to see what YOU come up with using the sketch!!

Until Next Time… Happy Scrapping!!

Hello everyone!! It’s Tina here!!

If you are like me, you always are doing things at the last minute!! So, I thought it might be a fun idea to show you some “make it quick” cards using the brand new SYMBOLS set of stamps!!

Each one of these took less than 10 minutes to make!!! You can dress them up more, or make them as simple as you like!!

Here we go!!

Supplies:

Scraps of paper ( i used all the same line in these 3 cards)

Cardstock for base

Circle punch, border punch, corner rounder

Tule, lace, ribbon, flower…

Embossing powder, beads

THANK YOU

For this simple card, I simply used one pattern for the bottom half of the card… used my border punch for a trim on another piece. Then added Tule, a flower and my stamps! Rounded the bottom edge…

To achieve this stamped look, I stamped the Heart from the SYMBOLS set first in pink. I outlined it in pink with a glitter pen. Then I stamped my sentiment in green! So simple!!

HAVE A GREAT DAY

For this card, I cut my cardstock base in a rectangle to add interest. The Patterned paper was cut slightly smaller, rounding 2 edges. Again, i added a strip with one edge trimmed using my border punch. Stamp… add ink and you’re all set!

Gor this stamped image, I stamped the coffee cup from the Symbols set onto white cardstock. I then cut it out using my circle punch, inked the edges to match my flower. I adhered the stamped image to the flower, and the flower to the page. Did the same with the sentiment… but chose a rectangular shape… To complete the card, I inked the outside edges in pink.

HAPPY DAY

This final card is another quickie, but has a few more techniques in it to try! I cut out 9 circles using my circle punch. I chose a solid circle for the center. I positioned the outside 8 circles to the card with a small amount of glue and then stitched them down with my machine!

For the stamped image, I stamped the circle from the SYMBOLS set onto matching cardstock using VERSA MARK ink, and added some embossing powder to it!! I heat set it using my heat gun and them cut it out using my circle punch. I stamped the cupcake from the SYMBOLS set in brown in the center of the circle. I then used Dimensional pearls in white to make the icing! While it was wet, I added some beads… looks good enough to eat!!

I also heat embossed the sentiment using the same technique onto white cardstock and mounted it onto the card. Embossing powder was from PK Glitz!

So there you have less than 1/2 an hour’s work… and 3 simple cards to show from it!!

All sentiments were taken from the MENTION IT stamp set.

I have created a fun sketch to hopefully spark some creativity and get the mojo flowing!!!

Here it is…

I was So excited to get to play with some of the NEW RELEASE stamps… and i chose to use the PROGRAMMED ROBOTS set! WAY too cute!!

Here’s what I came up with…

I stamped the robot onto white cardstock and fussy cut him out. Then I colored him in using colored pencils… ( I am not a copics girl yet… but they would do a FAB job here!) I then added him to a painted piece of chipboard using foam tape! He’s just TOO cute!!

I hope this sketch inspired you! i can’t wait to see what you do with it!!

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE the look of brick! Both in photographs AND on a scrapbook page!! So, I looked for a way to create my own! I was thrilled when i found that the YOUR STORY stamp set had the PERFECT stamp to acheive the look I was looking for! Let me show you the project I created first. Then I’ll tell you how to make your own brick work!!

Brick Tutorial

Supplies:

Kraft cardstock, or other desired color

Ink

MyStampBox YOUR STORY stamp set

Acrylic block

brown/grey/black colored pencil

scrap paper

This is the exact stamp that you need…

1. Take the strip of cardstock, the stamp on the acrylic block and the ink. Ink the stamp and stamp 1/2 of the stamp on the top left edge as shown… Use scrap paper to catch the estra stamping…

2. Repeat this step, except this time, stamp under this first image, and stamp the entire stamp… Then in row 3, repeat the 1/2 stamp… as shown in the photo…

3. Continue the stamping across to the right of the page. After these first 3 stamps in steps 1 and 2, each stamped image should be of the entire stamp, until you get to the right edge.

I did just 3 rows of bricks… but you can do as many as you wish.

I added some extra color and dimention using the colored pencil. Stickles, glitter, distressing or any other fun techniques may be applied at this time!

Don’t worry if things don’t exactly line up… you can fill in some blanks with the colored pencil or just leave it to add to the character of the brick look.

Now you’re ready to add your brick work to your project!! here are some detailed shots of my project…

So now dig out your set of YOUR STORY stamps and start laying the “brick work” for a new and fabulous project!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!!!

For my project this month I decided to decorate a bottle that I’ve been saving! I got it for Christmas a couple of years ago with hot chocolate and stuff in it… and have been saving it for the perfect project! I finally decided it was time to use it!!

It was simple… layered some pretty Christmas papers, some torn, and some cut using border punches. Stamped and embossed a “Thank you” using the Oval Office set and tied it on with a piece of tulle! Then I stamped the flower from the kind flower set 4 times, layered them and curled the edges for dimension! Finished the project off with some bling and it’s ready to fill!!

I’m going to fill mine with Hershey’s Kisses in red, green and silver and give this as a gift for my daughter’s teacher!!

I know you have some pretty bottles, jars or containers of some sort just calling to you to be decorated! Come on… now’s the time to do it!!

Today I would like to show you my version of a fun project I seen created by the talented Jana Eubank! She had made a countdown to Halloween counter. Once I seen it I KNEW I had to make one for Christmas! I want to share it with you today!

The stamps I used were the Merry Mr Snowman and Seal it.

First, lets start with our Mr Snowman, which is where I started on this project!

I stamped him onto white cardstock using black ink, and went from there… embellishing him as much as I possibly could! I used lots of pearls and bling for his eyes, nose, mouth and buttons. I folded and twisted ribbon for his scarf and hat ribbon. I finished him off with a sweet red flower on his hat! I can see me using this snowman lots. The possibilities of dressing him up are endless!!

The next step was to decide on a base for my snowman and the main part of my hanger and design it as desired. Here are some tips… as next time I make them, I have a couple of changes I will make…

*Use a sturdy base for your hanger. Tying ribbon to cardstock and hoping it will hold was not smart thinking! Chipboard will do a much better job nest time!

*Make the base a bit bigger than i did… Then the project can circle around or still hang, but will look more in porportion.

Now it’s time to get the candy ready! I cut a long piece of Saran wrap, placed 12 candies in it (i raided their Halloween stash! LOL!) and tied them off using Christmassy ribbons!

I decided to use the Seal it stamps here, because of their circular shape. The one i used says “curious” all around it. How perfect! I stamped them on 12 circles cut using my punch. I added glimmer mist in green and red to take away from the starch whiteness of them. I added #’s from 1 – 12 and punched a hold in the side of each, alternating left and right. Then I tied them to the candy string using the ribbons I seperated them with! i alternated them left and right so that the #’s could easily be seen! The top one is tied directly to the hanger.

Now you’re ready to count down the 12 days of Christmas! I hope that this project has inspired you to do a Christmas countdown of your own! The possibilities are endless!!

Happy Wednesday!!

If you were to walk into my house on any day of the week, there is one thing you would always find… music playing! In my vehicle?… Music playing! So it is no wonder that music is one of my greatest scrappy inspirations! So that is what I have decided to use for my Wednesday challenge to you!

My Challenge… Allow music to inspire a scrappy project for you this week! It can be your title, your journaling or anything else on your page!

Here are 3 layouts that i created, all inspired by music!

1. Hey, Did you Happen to see the Most Beautiful Girl in the World!!??

Stamps Used: I used the Seal it Stamp set here. I stamped it, cut them out and adhered them to my page using foam squares to give them some dimension. I then added a corduroy brad!

Seal It

2. Country Boy

Stamps Used: Seal It This time using the same set I stamped the image on chipboard and patterned paper, cut it out and mounted the Paper image onto the chipboard to make it sturdy. Then I made my own ribbon flower. I stuck a Brad into the center, through the ribbon flour and right down thru my page. These seals make GREAT flower centers!

Letterbox

Letterboxes: I stamped my title using this fun font! After cutting out each letter I layered them, some with foam tape, others without. I added stickles to the boxes and some pearls to the sides of the letters to glam them up a bit! Love the result!!

3. You Are My Sunshine!
Stamps Used: Wishing you Sunshine I stamped these fun clouds directly on the backround paper, and onto solid paper, cutting some out and layering them using Foam tape for added dimention! These cloud make for a great whimsical look!

Wishing You Sunshine

So this week, I challenge you to get with the music!
