Cards with myStampBOX and Gelatos

I have had some gelatos lying around my craft room but have never really done anything with them. I decided to pull them out with some myStampBOX stamps and get messy.  All the cards started with this basic technique: rub the gelato on a nonstick mat, spray with water and blend with your finger, then…  |  read more »

Thank You Card

With spring finally starting to appear every now and then, I was inspired to create a card with some flowers.
I sprayed some white cardstock with pink mist, then stamped the flowers from the Garden Sketches Set in a darker pink and cut them out. I also stamped a butterfly from the Colorful Companions Set in…  |  read more »

Getting Messy

I decided to pull out some stamps, stencils, mists and embossing powders and try out a technique I had in my head.
For my first card, I placed a stencil over a piece of cardstock, pressed an embossing ink pad over the stencil, then sprinkled and heat set with myStampBOX clear embossing powder. I then sprayed…  |  read more »

Love Sigh Gasp

With Valentine’s Day rapidly approaching, I decided to create a love card using the Sigh Gush Gasp Set. I didn’t want the asterisks or parenthensis on my project, so after inking the stamps I put some small pieces of washi tape (or you could use painter’s or masking tape) over the part of…  |  read more »

Let It Snow!

As we prepare for Snowpocalypse 2014 and I watch the snow starting to fall outside the window , it seemed only appropriate that I should create something with the Let It Snow Set. I stamped some of the smaller snowflakes in two colors of Distress Ink, then heat embossed some larger snowflakes and the sentiment…  |  read more »

Ho Ho Ho

It’s the time of the year for the man in red. I stamped this cute fella from the Ho Ho Ho Set and colored his suit with Derwent Inktense pencils. I used silver liquid pearls for his belt buckle and the soles of his boots, and added some Stickles to his hat. After cutting him…  |  read more »

Mother’s Day Card

Mother’s Day is only a couple of days away  but that still gives you time to break out your supplies and make her a pretty card (that you know she will appreciate more than one bought at a store).
I decided to get messy and pulled out my stamps, inks, stencils, and sprays. I sprayed my…  |  read more »

Spring Flowers

I am ready for the April showers to bring May flowers and created this card with that thought in mind.
I stamped two different flowers from the Abundant Blossoms set onto pattern paper and then cut the flowers out of the paper. I handstitched some stems with embroidery thread, then layered the flowers at the tops…  |  read more »

Bright and Bold with Borders

Don’t stare too closely or you might get dizzy. I created today’s card with a border from the Decorative Strips Set. I stamped the image four times then cut each strip into three 1″x1″ squares. I matted the squares (hopefully fairly evenly) on some black cardstock then separated the rows horizontally with baker’s twine. I…  |  read more »

Happy Birthday

I decided to pull out some water and my Derwent Intense Pencils for this card. I used watercolor paper onto which I brushed some water. I then colored on the paper with the yellow pencil, blended it with a paint brush and water until I got the desired color, and continued…  |  read more »
