A Little Christmas Gift Bag…

This Christmas season I have made a commitment to using my gift bags. I don’t know about you but I have accumulated a huge number of them over the past few years, but every time I need one I don’t seem to have either the right size or the correct event and off I go to buy yet another gift bag! So this year I went through my gift bag stash with the idea of altering a few of them to have on hand for Christmas. It is a quick and easy way to make that gift just a little more personal AND use up something you have on hand.

I created these gift bags by cutting down some of the bottle bags I have collected. Did you know that you can make these bottle bags into the perfect sized mini gift bags by removing the strings and cutting the bag about halfway down? Then just fold the top over about half an inch to give the top of the bag a nice clean seam, repunch the holes using a Crop-o-dial or similar tool and retie the strings and – VOILA! The perfect sized little gift bag.

Now to decorate… I kept my bags simple and added just a few images from the myStamp Box HOHOHO stamp stamp set. After I had stamped, colored and cut out my images I adhered them using foam dots to pop them off the bag… Aren’t they just too cute!

And you can imagine how using some of those old stickers or embellishments you have hanging around would really dress up that bag… So why not go through your stash of gift bags this season with new eyes? Enjoy!!
