Stamped Festive Curtain

I don’t know about other teenage girls but my girl’s taste changes monthly so I am always looking for inexpensive ways to decorate their rooms that is inexpensive but fun. My youngest has always wanted a beaded curtain, but they are pricey and very noisy. This project is neither!!

BUT FIRST my disclaimer!! I did this only for the top half of the door and all of my kids are older ( and some what wiser). I would not recommend doing this in a toddlers room as it could be a hanging hazard.

I started by making a strip of card-stock the width of my door and 1 inch wide. I added a strip of Sookwang double sided tape along the strip.

I punched out shapes from DCWV cardstock and white cardstock. On the white cardstock I stamped images from Abundant Blossoms and Colorful Companions.

I then attached them to a string by sandwiching them between the white stamped images and coloured cardstock.  I made several strings alternating images and colours.

I then sandwiched the ends of the strings between the two layers of tape and attached across the top threshold of the door.

I didn’t stress about putting the tape right on the trim. It can be removed with Undo or rubbing alcohol later.  I think this would be really fun for a party or shower as well!

Happy Decorating!
