Hello everyone! Ally here! There is only a few more days left to bask in the glory of summer before the kids go back to school. I hope you enjoy your last few days.
Today I’m going to share a simple min album. I used one of the fabulous NEW myStamp BOX Chipboard “Cloud” Albums. These new albums come in a variety of four fabulous shapes; Cloud, Camera, House and Suitcase. All of these albums are made of an amazingly sturdy chipboard and are very easy to alter!
For each of my pages, I first painted a thin coat of gesso over top of one side of the page. Then, while the gesso was still a little sticky, I pressed some of the cute cloud images from the myStamp BOX “Wishing You Sunshine” collection into the gesso. This caused the stamps to pick up some of the gesso and leave an imprint. I allowed them to dry and then spritzed them with a variety of mists (sometimes using a polka dot stencil) to add that pop of colour. A added a sponging of brown chalk ink around the edges of my pages and used a spray shellac to seal each page’s surface.
TIP: When stamping into gesso, wash your stamps thoroughly and immediately after use. Use a soft toothbrush and warm, soapy water to remove the gesso from the depressions in your stamp.

If you noticed, all the albums come with 6 pages. I used my final page as my “guinea pig” page – you know… to trial inks, stamps, gesso, etc!
I hope that my mini album inspires you to pull out some gesso and experiment with your stamps and sprays! Happy stampin’ everyone!
