I recently reconnected with a dear crafting friend named Lauren and had a ball going through her blog and Etsy shop, both of which are packed with inspiration. Today I’m sharing a card I made based on one of Lauren’s mini album designs.

Lauren’s mini album had a vintage black and white airplane photo with colorful title letters layered on top. I loved the contrast and tried for that effect on my card.
For the background I stamped the bubble wrap texture from Backgrounds using Pumice Stone grey Distress Ink. I brightened up the sentiment area using colorful papers and the sentiment using Letterboxes.
I also noticed that Lauren loves to sew down her title letters, so I gave it a whirl. Close friends know that I do not sew on projects well or often, so this was a big deal for me! I’m happy with how it turned out. Thanks, Lauren, for all the inspiration. You might notice some new visitors on your blog soon!
Supplies: myStampBOX stamps, Ranger Archival Ink, My Mind’s Eye papers, DCWV card, Darice rhinestone hearts, thread.
