Happy Birthday – Masculine Style!

Happy June everyone! Today I’m going to showcase a variety of fun and whimsical masculine birthday cards with you.

Let’s start with the younger crowd. Whenever of I think of little boys, I think fun characters so I created a whimsical birthday card using our adorable “Holiday Monkey” stamp set.

Sock Monkey Birthday

I kept this card sweet and simple. I used some fun and boy coloured patterned papers. I also incorporated some fun stamped stitches and zippers too from the “Repeat After Me” collection!

Here’s a close up of my coloured of the little sock monkey. I created the “knitted” look by just using my Copic brush tip.

So staying with the character theme, I decided to create a robot themed card using our super cute “Programmed Robots” stamp set.

Robot Birthday Wishes

For this card, I wanted to create a miniature scene for my little robot to send his birthday wishes from so I created a little moon scape for him to present his little birthday cupcake. The cupcake is from our “Symbols” stamp set!

Here’s a close up my little robot friend. He’s presenting a yummy treat especially for that birthday boy!

Next I decided that we’d better not leave out those older birthday guys in our lives so I created two more birthday cards for the older birthday crowd!

Chevron Birthday

For this card, I simply wanted to showcase some pretty papers and some fun chevron shapes. So I created a fun chevron background for my simple greeting flag. My greeting is from the “Happy Word Jumble” stamp set.

TIP: Try stamping your stamps right over top of simple patterned papers to add further interest to your card creations!

And for my final masculine birthday card I thought about creating something bright and colourful so I created a fun rainbow inspired birthday card… great for those teen boy birthdays!

Rainbow Birthday

For this card I first cut out my center panel of white cardstock and framed it up using the “Border Lines” stamp set. Then I masked off the stamped border and stamped the “Timelines” background using grey ink. Then without removing the frame’s mask I inked it using a rainbow of coloured inks. I then created my title using the “happy” from the “Lots of Dotes – Sentiments” stamp and the “happy birthday” from the “Lines of Life” stamps.

Here’s a close up of the back ground for you to peek at…

I hope you’ve enjoyed all of my masculine card inspiration for you today! I hope I’ve inspired you to create some special birthday cards for the guys in your life. Which one is your fav?
