Try Resist Technique

Hi there!

Happy Thursday! Linda here and today I would like to share with you a simple technique to create beautiful color combination with soft transition and embossing. Stampers usually call this technique as “Resist Technique”. So, let’s get started;

Use your favorite stamp image and apply onto cardstock on random position. Emboss using powder and heat set. Wait for a couple of seconds and start coloring the cardstock using distress ink in circular motion. It will be helpful to have craft mat as your work base.

To create soft transition on multiple colors, try to first color using the lightest color first and gradually go to the darkest one. Wait for a minute until ink dry and using wet towel, wipe the embossed images to reveal the original color as shown on the picture.

Here is picture on the final product. I added some baby blue pearls throughout the card. I hope you enjoy this quick tutorial! Happy Stamping!
