Challenge: Paper Piecing

I love cute stamped images, but I’m not good at coloring them in. So whenever I want to add some color to my stamped images, I go for paper piecing. Since we’re about to get ready for a new holiday season, I made a few Christmas tags with the fun HoHoHo set.

I had a lot of fun putting this Santa together. To add to the magic of this character I put some Distress Stickles to his beard and hair, which unfortunately don’t show up very well in this picture.

How cute is this reindeer, ha? I just love it! I’ll definitely be using this one on a lot of my cards this year. I couldn’t resist adding a red gem to his nose. I stamped the reindeer onto the patterned paper first, and then started building layer after layer.

And last but not least, Santa’s sleigh all geared up. In case you were wondering about it, the bells of the reindeer and of the sleigh are also paper pieced. All papers are from Prima’s North Country 6×6 paper stack.

Now it’s your turn!  If you make something with paper piecing, link your creation up, so we can come and take a look at it.
