Today I have a fun color challenge. Gray is such a hot color! It has become a popular neutral in fashion and home decor. There are so many shades of gray, literally, from pale silvery tones to deep, rich charcoal. For this challenge create a card or layout using gray paired with your favorite brighter colors. Here’s what I made:
My husband recently travelled to Japan for business and brought home some cool robot toys for my youngest son. Sometimes the little man gets as “wired” as his playmates, making sound effects and noises while he plays. I thought this was a cute play on words and used it for the title of my layout. I stamped and embossed the large robot from Programmed Robots then layered on a dark gray body. I also stamped a border using the tiniest stamps in the set. Finally, I added screw-top brads strung with craft wire and the robot information card printed in Japanese. The wires are anchored at the bottom of the layout by an acrylic arrow from one of our preferred product partners, Clear Scraps.

Great color combo for sure. I love the gray and blue together. I also love the silver embossing on the robot. He really pops off the page for me.

Awww…. that is the coolest layout Jolene! Your little man is adorable! I love the use of gray too! Will have to use that on my next layout!
oh my gosh, jolene this is PRICELESS!!! what a gorgeous LO that works the theme brilliantly without overwhelming the gorgeous pics of said handsome dude! i especially loooooove the screw brads and the wires. WOW!!! (& yeah…now i totally want to make something with grey & a bright!)
