Hi Everyone! Today is my first post to the blog and I am so excited. I can’t wait to show you my project below. Todays challenge is all about patterened paper. But, nothing you have on your desk right now or even in your stash. This challenge is all about making patterend paper with your stamps.
One of the first things I do when I get a new stamp set is to see what I can create using the patterns and shapes from each stamp.
I challenge you to grab your favorite myStamp BOX stamps and see what patterened paper you can create. No cheating by grabbing some of your stash. Use only cardstock, ink and of course your myStamp BOX stamps.
Here is what I came up with. Can you figure out what stamps from the Just Add Notes and Road Trip sets I used?
So, here is what I did with the stamps.
PINK SCALLOP: From the Just Add Notes set I used the long journaling line and curved it on my acrylic block to make a scallop.
YELLOW STRIP: From the Just Add Notes set I used the journaling lines to create, not only the journaling area, but the patterend on the yellow cardstock.
BLUE BRACKET: From the Just Add Notes set I used the outline bracket to create the patterend on the blue cardstock. I then colored them in with a lite blue Copic marker.
ORANGE ZIG ZAG: From the Road Trip set I used the corner on the stamp image to create the zig zag pattern. I made a line of zig zags down one side then went back and filled them in with another line.
WHITE/PINK STRIP: From the Road Trip set I used the postage stamp lines to create a subtle pattern. I then crumpled the paper up and attached it with some black brads.
SCALLOPED CIRCLES: I used the small and large jouranling lines to make the pattern in two colors of pink ink on the circles.
The small scallop poking out of the top of my cute kiddos heads is also from the Road Trip set.
Here are some close ups.
Thanks for taking a look at my project. I hope you will give this challenge a try and share your work with us here at myStamp BOX!
