Beachy Frame

Good Morning summer-hungry readers,

On returning from our family trip to Costa Rica this winter, I printed an endless amount of photos (thinking a mini album was in the works).  Well… winter is extremely busy here in hockey-Manitoba so those favourites were still sitting on my desk.  I found these cute, inexpensive (4×6 inch) frames and thought: “perfect for a myStampBOX project”.

I white-washed the frame with some white paint and water and added some turquoise hints of paint as well.  After the frame dried, I used green paint to stamp the journal lines from the Just add words stamp set to add character to the frame’s background.  LOVE the look that was created.  Definitely going to try this on a layout background very soon!!!

After the paint completely dried (about an hour), I decorated the bottom corner of the frame with a mixture of purchased flowers, handmade paper flowers, epoxy stickers & a vinyl rub-on.  I then added crystals to the corners of the frame and some sticker words at the bottom: “relax, Getaway, travel”.  And, of course for that whimsical look, I added two patterned butterflies and folded their wings up for dimension.

Finally, I stamped the circle date stamp from the Just add words set and hand-journaled my title: “one fine day”.

A perfect frame to house my favourite ”beachy” photos.  Come to think of it, I may need a collection of them.

Off to create,

jill
