Winter Canvas

I’ve had these little 6×6 in canvases (sp?) sitting on my craft table forever. I’ve been wanting to stamp on them, but the only  alphabet stampset I had was way too big. Then I got the MyStampBox “Color Me” Alpha set and voila! The perfect size.

So, if you want a super quick, last minute Christmas decoration, this is what you need:

supplies needed

supplies needed

some chipboard diecuts, acrylic paint, stamps, some glitter, heat and stick powder, a canvas

paint diecuts

paint diecuts

For the second step, you need to paint the diecut pieces.

msb32If you like, add some Lumiere paint or similar shimmery paint to the diecuts. You could also use some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist or Maya Road Mist to add some shine.

msb5Next you need to stamp the words or images you’d like with Embossing ink. msb7I then sprinkled Heat and Stick powder over the stamped images and heat set everything.

msb8Then I sprinkled glitter over the stamped images and heat set again.

msb9Last but not least, I attached the diecuts to the canvas and added some sparkly detail with Stickles. And that’s it, you are done!

Here’s what my finished Canvas looks like:

Here’s are a few more examples of these little canvases, some with, some without stamping. I have them sitting on my bookshelf in the living room. I like the little holiday detail.

Love using our craft supplies to decorate the home.. and I love christmas.. these are just fantastic. Love them!

Hmm.. heat and stick.. so you heat it, then glitter then heat AGAIN?? I’ve never liked the stuff, but I’ve never heated it a second time…. maybe that’s the trick! Love it.. learned something new today =)
