And now I welcome you to my SNOW-themed party.
We love to invite friends over in January and February, when parties are scarce and everyone is grateful for a reason to leave their houses. We play games in the snow, go sledding and then come in for some hot food and drinks.
To go with the snow theme, I used white and light blue colours only. First, the decoration (to be laid onto the table or the buffet, window sills, etc.) – white snowflakes. We need lots of these to scatter them around… For this entire project I am using the “Let it snow…” stamp set.
I use white craft foam, heat it with the heat gun and press the snowflake stamps into the foam. They are cut out carefully. Some of the smaller ones I am using on the invitations.

The invitation is a half letter-sized piece of white cardstock. I cut 4 panels of light blue card stock from one sheet, slightly smaller than the card. Three of the snowflakes are repeatedly stamped with VersaMark followed by the “Let it Snow…” sentiment. Everything gets embossed with white embossing powder. As a little detail I add one of the mini craft foam snow flakes.
I make little treat bags for the guests to take home after the party. Small bags filled with hot chocolate powder for the next cold day outside. The topper is done like the card, different snowflakes stamped with VersaMark, then embossed, stapled to the bag and ready to hand out.

For the buffet I prepare little cards with information about the food or the name of the food (esp. cheeses). Just attach a tooth pick to the back of the card and push it in the cheese. You can also decorate menus this way. For the word “Brie” I use the “Rustic Outlines” alphabet set. Everything is embossed as well. Place cards round off my themed decoration, again I use different snow flake stamps to keep it individual.

One last look at the whole ensemble. I hope you are inspired to try a wintery theme for your next party, too. Let it snow…

Now on to Virginie’s blog to see more fun ideas for other kinds of parties!
Don’t forget to leave a comment on each blog (including this one) to be eligible for our blog hop prize! Good luck and enjoy the journey!
