Summer reading

Hi all.

Gudrun here from “tropical Oslo”.  We are having a heatwave here up north, and we are really enjoying the hot weather.  So what better can we do than having some small paper-projects and reading a good book in the shade in the hammoc.

So, I’ll share my little summer-project with you. It is so simple, and so fun. – and best of all, you can use some of your favourite mSB-stamps and use up some scraps of your favourite paper you have around making some cute book marks for your favourite summer reading..

9bokmerke

What you’ll need:

1bokmerke

-a favourite mSB-stamp.

-glossy paper (you can use what paper you like the most)

-inkpad and acrylic block

-shimmering H2O paint, or whatever you want to use to color your images

-scraps of paper (patternd or colored – of your choice)

-sewing machine (you can also use hand stiching)

-ribbon, bling, and embellishments of your choice

-glue

2bokmerke

-Stamp your images on the glossy paper

3bokmerke

-Color your stamped images

4bokmerke

-cut the stamped images out of the glossy paper.

5bokmerke

-Dig into your pile of patternd paper-scraps, and cut some pieces that will fit on the corner of your book.  You can use  two triangles (one for the front and one for the back)  or two squares.

6bokmerke

-Put the two equal pieces on top of each other and stitch the right corner of your bookmark either by hand or using your sewing-machine.

7bokmerke

-Add the stamped image and embellish the bookmark.

8bokmerke

-Voila! You have the cutest bookmark for your summer-reading.

10bokmerke

-Make more bookmarks and give them as cute little gifts to your friends and family.  :)

Happy summer-scrapping!
