Hi all.
Gudrun here from “tropical Oslo”. We are having a heatwave here up north, and we are really enjoying the hot weather. So what better can we do than having some small paper-projects and reading a good book in the shade in the hammoc.
So, I’ll share my little summer-project with you. It is so simple, and so fun. – and best of all, you can use some of your favourite mSB-stamps and use up some scraps of your favourite paper you have around making some cute book marks for your favourite summer reading..

What you’ll need:

-a favourite mSB-stamp.
-glossy paper (you can use what paper you like the most)
-inkpad and acrylic block
-shimmering H2O paint, or whatever you want to use to color your images
-scraps of paper (patternd or colored – of your choice)
-sewing machine (you can also use hand stiching)
-ribbon, bling, and embellishments of your choice
-glue

-Stamp your images on the glossy paper

-Color your stamped images

-cut the stamped images out of the glossy paper.

-Dig into your pile of patternd paper-scraps, and cut some pieces that will fit on the corner of your book. You can use two triangles (one for the front and one for the back) or two squares.

-Put the two equal pieces on top of each other and stitch the right corner of your bookmark either by hand or using your sewing-machine.

-Add the stamped image and embellish the bookmark.

-Voila! You have the cutest bookmark for your summer-reading.

-Make more bookmarks and give them as cute little gifts to your friends and family.
Happy summer-scrapping!

Oh my goodness! What an awesome idea! Love the way you incorporated the stamps into your project!
Super cute! I was just going to make some of these recently.
Great idea!!!! What kind of paint did you use? I have never seen that paint before, i dont think
Very cute…I used to have a bunch of these around, I wonder where they all went now that summer’s here…?
Thanks for your kind comments.
The paint I used is Twinkeling H2O by Lumin Arte inc.
