Goin’ Green!

I love the idea of recycling and reusing packaging when it comes to scrapbooking.  I ordered some products last month and they came in these cool plastic boxes so I kept them knowing I was going to alter them and reuse them at some point in the future.

So this week I grabbed a few simple items and created a simple gift for my neighbour for St. Patrick’s Day next week as a thank you for helping us out with snow removal this winter.

I grabbed my Olive Green Staz-On ink and my “Seal It!” heart shaped stamp and created the stamped shamrock box.

A tip when using a 3 dimensional flexible box, use an acrylic block inside to help hold the box’s 3 dimensional shape.  This allows you to stamp on the surface without disassembling the box.

The gridlines on the acrylic box also helped me keep the stamped images in line with one another.

Finish decorating your little box with some stamped ribbon and a little message in the middle, add some yummy green treats and then made an accompanying card and you have a simple gift for someone special…. all made with recycling in mind!
