I have a short-cut in my card making that I want to share with you. It’s called “Being Prepared.” Nothing new I’m sure….but this simple step, once I started stamping, made card-making so much easier for me!
My family likes to hang out with other families a lot – for games nights and movie nights and all kinds of things. Sometimes I’m lucky enough that the ‘wife’ of the family likes to scrapbook like me and then we play while our husbands duke-it-out in some video game or something. But sometimes everyone but me wants to watch curling or football…and what’s a girl to do? Answer: Bring along a little stash and Get Prepared!
My usual trip-stash is a small stack of assorted coloured cardstock, a set or two of stamps, small scissors, ink and maybe markers. Oh, and a Ziploc bag. Then I stamp and colour and cut away to my heart’s content while the ‘big game’ is on and when they’re done…so am I…with a baggie full of pre-cut embellishments that make my next card-making session a breeze!
Here’s my supplies:

and here’s a card that I threw together….easy-peasy because my leaves from the Floating Leaves set from my Stamp BOX were already stamped, coloured and cut out.
Have fun ‘being prepared!’
Cathy

How fun! I should keep a little bag ready like this. I love the way the leaves turned out!
This is beautiful Cathy! Love the patterned paper you used!
This would also work for those long waits at the doctor’s office!! LOVE it!
Nice… wanna come to my house and get me prepared! You do such a nice job of it!
